It’s National Eat Your vegetable day, a day I find interestingly amazing and celebrated all over the world and I bet you didn’t know about this day but don’t worry I’ll tell you about the history of how it came to be so grab your coffee and seat back and enjoy 😉…

National eat your vegetables day is a day celebrated Nationally in the United States and it’s celebrated on the 17th of June. The history about is origin goes way back to the beginning of mankind when they found out that vegetables have nutritional value and from there lots of cultivation and discoveries were made to add create other varieties, better cultivation techniques and so on till date. The 17th was designated by the USA and has been observed till date.
How do you or your country or your organization celebrate the day? |

On this day obviously we are supposed to eat vegetables of our liking and in doing so, we remember the days and hardwork put in by fore fathers in the research and building of different vegetable varieties and cultivation methods that bring us the best quality of vegetables today. If you are not a fan of vegetables, I recommend you garnish your meal with it and besides there’s no harm in trying a vegetable diet.
What impact does your community gain during and after the commemoration? |

After commemorating this day, we are taught on the benefits of different type of vegetables, their nutritional values and what type of disease it can help our body fight against. Knowledge is power indeed and when you know why to eat, you start taking control of your health and life style. That can go a very long way to saving a life.
What issue or concern will you recommend to be commemorated this week and on what date? |

Another day I’d like us to commemorate this day is the international sushi day which is celebrated on the 18th of June which is tomorrow a day too just like this but with sushi.
