As a Nigerian 🇳🇬 this day is well recognize here in Nigeria and also around the world because it's the day in which our newly elected president resumes office.
Which is know as the presidential inauguration day on the 29th of May.
This day is usually commemorated in every four years which is when Nigeria hold it's presidential election after the winner is declared the 29th of may is when he will be fully known as the executive president of the country.
This day is a very colorful day in our country Nigeria when the president will be swear in into his seat to get to work immediately along side his vice president.
How do your country celebrate this day
This day is well celebrated by everyone in our country because everyone is happy that a new president has emerged but the one that was celebrated most was in 2011 when president Jonathan won the election street was very happy because he is a good man.
And when president Tinubu assumes sit everyone was very happy And yes the whole of that day will be a public holiday Nation wide they will be no work that day because of the ceremony that's going on the Federal capital territory.
Like this one that was just concluded the less privilege was well take care of, people receive numerous amount of money as part of the celebration ad that day everyone is request to stay at home for security purposes.
What impact does your community during and after the commemoration
During the commemoration we receive gifts from the government to share among ourselves and celebrate the new president of our country and the security in our community will be increased.
This period is indeed a very good time in all the people in our community because we will have enough to eat and drink, normally we faces electricity problems but after that commemoration we will always have constant electricity supply form the government because a new president have emerged with good vision for it's citizens.
What issues or concern will you recommend o be commemorated this week and what date
The issue i will love to be commemorated this week and it should be Saturday the 30th of September I choose this date because everyone will be free.
I will love the world to recognize all those who are fighting to keep their country safe that's the armed forces which consist of the Army, Navy and Air force. Theses are people who sacrificed their lives for us without knowing who we are or our names this are people lost their lives in the war front for us to be alive today, people who sacrificed their sleep for our sake.
They are going through alot internally and it's best that we all celebrate them because it's not easy being a military personnel so I will recommend Saturday the 23rd of may for everyone all over the world to celebrate Military Personnels in their country lest make them to know how we all value them so that they will continue to give their best to protect us.
