What do you know about the day
This is a very important day for all women in st James catholic church afi barracks ikom, Cross river state Nigeria 🇳🇬 .
This is a day of celebration for all mother's in our church it's a day that is designed to celebrate mother's who have children because not all women are mother's.
This day is celebrated every March 19th in our church.
Ok this day the women are responsible for all the activities in the church that's they will be the host and they will perform everything in our church including reading of the scripture, singing etc.
On this day all the married men in our church will take their wife out to enjoy themselves, and they will also present special gift to them to commemorate with them and also congratulate them for being the mother of their children and also for taking good care of their homes and also their family at large.
How do your organization celebrate the day
They will be a donation by every member of our church to support our mothers financially because it is not easy to be a mother.
We as a church organised an event after Sunday mass to celebrate our mothers and also congratulate them, they will be enough to eat and drink for everyone and you will really enjoy your self because they will be entertainment like drama and the rest, they will also be dancing competition by our mothers and the best dancer will be rewarded.
We also have a the egg of life where everyone will be call upon to come and plug it, if you are looking for a child, work anything at all. The egg of life will be bless by our priest and everyone that one to purchase it, will come to the front of the church and collect his or her own blessing by giving a little token to support our mothers.
At the end of the event everyone will go home happily, after we have celebrated our mothers.
What impact does your community gain during and after the commemoration
Our community that's is our church gain financial support from everyone that participated in the commemoration.
Our mothers bring a lot of people to support our church through invitation and this way they support our church through financial donation.
After the commemoration we will visit the orphanage home and also the motherless baby home to support them financially this way we promote our church.
What issues or concern will you recommend to be commemorated this week and what date
The issue I will love to be commemorated this week is father's day I will love the world entirely to celebrate all the father's in the world.
It is not easy being the bread winner of the family sonit best we celebrate them this week for their good work.
I will want Saturday being the 21st of October to be world father's day.
