Would it help if you say to a drowning person "breathe, you're stronger than the water" without sending him a hand to help him out?

It is the same case for someone drowning in pain and suffering and all you do is keep showering and pouring stimulating replies which induce his pain.

Would it help if you watch me cry of hunger and you pass by with a loaf of bread and all you could offer is, "God will provide"?

Don't you think we are all made of flesh and bone and can get hurt too? Stop the hypocrisy and reach out with a hand when you can.
