These may include seminars, conferences, and public forums that highlight the role of parliament in democratic governance. Additionally, we engage with citizens through social media campaigns, encouraging them to actively participate in political processes and connect with their representatives.

What impact does your community gain during and after the commemoration?

The commemoration of International Day of Parliamentarism in Nigeria has a positive impact on our dear community. It raises awareness among citizens about their role in democratic processes and the importance of holding their representatives accountable. It encourages transparency and accountability in governance, promoting public trust in parliamentary institutions all day. Furthermore, it also provides an opportunity for parliamentarians to engage with the public, listen to their concerns, and address key issues affecting Nigerian society.

What issue or concern will you recommend to be commemorated this week and on what date?

This week, I'll recommend commemorating the issue of youth empowerment and employment on July 3. Youth unemployment remains a significant challenge in Nigeria, as we all know, and dedicating a day to this concern would therefore foster discussions, policy advocacy, and initiatives aimed at creating more opportunities for the youth in general. By addressing this issue, we can empower the younger generation, contribute to economic growth, and build a prosperous future for Nigerians.
