How can you help your community forge a gender-equal world?

There are several ways by which one can help their community forge a gender-equal world.

Promotion - One can start by promoting gender equality in the workplace, school, or among friends, and this can be achieved by supporting equal opportunities for all genders as we see this action within the college premises as well where there are some scholarships available for men, while they don't have the same requirement for women.

Through Campaigning - One can also support gender visibility through organizations that promote gender equality, such as participating in gender equality campaigns, and speaking out against gender-based discrimination.

Can Celebrating Women's International Day Increase Visibility and Equality?

YES!!, this is also another method of promoting gender visibility, The Women's International Day is celebrated every year on March 8th, this is to celebrate the social, and political achievements of women all over the world.

Celebrating Women's International Day also gives us a chance to increase the gender visibility campaign and promote gender equality. Women's international day is an occasion to celebrate women's achievements, and let them know we stand with the challenges they face.

Are the Feminism Fight and the Women’s Rights Fight the Same?

Nope, they are not the same, and here is why I say so;

Feminism is a different movement and its aim is to eliminate gender-based discrimination, their movement is to promote equal opportunities for all genders while the fight for Women's rights is a fight for social, and political rights for women. The two movements might seem similar, but they have a different approach.

What Do You Say About Women in Top Positions like Presidents, Parliamentarians, Senators, CEOs, and COOs? Give Possible Examples in Your Country (Community)

Women who are in top positions like presidents, VCs, senators, CEOs, and COOs serve as a testament to the achievement of gender equality. These women serve as role models for young girls, they serve as an inspiration to them to let them know women can also do it.

For example in my country, Nigeria, we have examples of women in top positions with the likes of Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Okonjo Iweala is the person as the Director-General of the World Trade Organization, She is also the former Finance Minister of Nigeria and she was the first woman to hold that position, she is a great icon to show proof that women can achieve a lot if they are willing to put their mind to it.

What Makes a Good Leader (Gender or Merit)?

This particular question is the sort of question that goes against gender equality, although gender can also serve as an important factor when determining a good leader, but I believe that merit should be the only consideration when considering a leader.

In my opinion, what makes a good leader is merit. A good leader is expected to be competent, and have the ability to inspire and lead by example and if this could be found in a woman, so be it. Gender should not be a factor in determining a good leader but rather merit.

Conclusion

Gender equality is a big factor that has been eating us all up in the community at large while achieving gender equality will require joint efforts from individuals and communities. Celebrating Women's International Day also is a method of increasing gender visibility and promoting equality.

Eventually, what makes a good leader is a requirement based on merit and not gender. We need leaders who value all genders. Each and every one of us has a job to do by taking actions such as supporting gender visibility and equality, so we can create a more just society for all individuals. Thank you everyone for coming, I hereby invite @solexybaba, @josepha, and @Sahmie to participate in the contest as well.

You have made a valid entry, emphasis was laid on campaigning and promotion as a factor for growing a gender-equal world. You also highlighted that a a good leaders requirement should be based on merit and not gender. Thank you for such graceful contribution. Goodluck in the challenge #steem-on

Celebrating Women's Day provides many opportunities for establishing women's rights and empowering women. In order to realize the rights of women, in addition to the celebration of Women's Day, various movements for women, extensive campaigns and various awareness programs should be carried out in the mass media. Best wishes for you my friend.

Hi @badmus-official, Just came across your gender equality post and I must say you have put great effort in research and writing this content.

Gender equality is important and must to do in today's world. We must not keep our women aside. They have equal rights.

Women must be educated and capable to take part in all opportunities that were in the past for only men. I personally support women's right fight because it is totally legal and they are humans also.

They must be treated same as men no matter in such field they are. They must be given equal opportunities in private as well as government sectors to do jobs.

You have explained each question very well friend. I wish you best of luck for the contest. Thank You :)
