The world Bicycle Day celebration falls on the 3rd of June yearly. The United Nations General Assembly on March 15th 2022, unanimously voted in favor to include the bicycle as one of the means for public transportation.
The day is to bring to the notice of all, the benefits of using the bicycle as a safe means of transportation. The reason to this is that bicycle is affordable, clean, simple and does not constitute environmental hazards.
For one to be physically active and healthy, there is the need to engage in a regular physical activity. One of such activities is cycling. Below are some of the benefits of cycling:
Riding bicycle can easily be included a normal regular activities as it can drive you to places like schools, market or shops, work places.
Riding bicycle can prevent diseases like stroke , arthritis, diabetes, cancers, heart attack, and stroke.
It is a funny activity combined with a healthy
with no negative impact and good for all age brackets.It enhances the aerobic system and builds strength and stamina.

Some of the changes that the world Bicycle day has brought to my community includes the following:
It has increased and improved the culture of regular cycling.
It has reduced the cost of transportation in my community as a result of its affordability.
It has reduced carbon emissions since it does not use fossil fuels.
Its Economic importance has improved the lots of bicycle engineering as they engage in both repairing and sale of bicycle parts in the community.
Active Promoter And The Ways To Add Value To Make The Day More Impactful
Below are some of the changes that can add value to the world Bicycle day celebration.
The active Promoter of the world bicycle day is the United nations (UN).

Donation of free bicycle to communities to mark the celebration of the world Bicycle day.
Creating more awareness of the day by holding seminars, workshops and roadshows to highlight the health benefits of cycling.
Organizing regular cycling competition in various communities.
Let us imbibe the culture of cycling. With its enormous health benefits, it can go along way to prevent a lot of diseases that may result from not exercising.
To cut costs usually associated with boarding public transportation, cycling can be used to cover a reasonable distance.
Bicycle is an environmentaly friendly means of transportation. No emissions of carbon monoxide as it does not use fossil fuels.
Its low cost of maintenance make easy to own. It is easy to own as it does not cost much unlike other means of transportation.
