DAY 4: How to make base cream for all skin types. @abinaturals
Hello Steemians and happy Sunday. Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mums here. Today is day 4 of training program on organic skincare. Today, we will be learning how to make base skin from scratch for all skin types. Ingredients needed: one glass citric acid, three glasses of e wax, one glass cetyl alcohol, 30mls mango butter, 30mls almond oil, 30 mls rosehip oil, 2tbs Snow White powder, 2tbs alpha Arbutin powder, 30mls neem oil, fragrance and two tbs of preservatives. To begin with we measure out the citric acid, stearic acid, cetyl alcohol and e wax and do a double boiler. That is we place water in a pot and leave to boil them we place a smaller pot on the water and allow the waxes and acids to melt.
As the products are melting, we measure out our oils and butter and add to the products. Once is completely melted we boil 500ml of water separately, with the help of a hand mixer, we pour the water in the melted products and whip to get a creamy consistency. As it’s getting creamy and cooling down, we add our powders, fragrance and preservative and whip further. Another three ingredients we will be adding not mentioned above is propeline glycol 30ml, glycolic acid 30ml and lactic acid 10ml. This three products will help for exfoliation in order to allow deep penetration of our oil into our skin.
