Steem Cameroon Contest - World AIDS Day (Bangladesh)
AIDS is a serious disease that destroys the human body's immune system. We need to be aware enough to protect ourselves from this disease. People with AIDS are quite hated by society. Today I am going to write about World AIDS Day, a theme of the International Awareness Day organized by Steemit-Cameroon.
World AIDS Day has made the people of Bangladesh aware of this deadly disease. Every year, in addition to increasing awareness about HIV/AIDS, health awareness related to this disease is also increased, as a result of which the day has brought positive changes to people about this disease.
This day is observed on December 1st to increase awareness through the government and various NGOs. This day is to make people aware and compassionate towards the affected patients and protect their rights. To prevent HIV, special camps are held in educational institutions and densely populated areas to prevent it from becoming an epidemic.
AIDS is not a contagious disease, so be compassionate towards people with AIDS. We need to be aware and compassionate to save ourselves and others from AIDS.

There was a time when people would commit suicide if they knew about this disease and people in society looked down on those affected.
The government has since started working on TV, radio advertisements and this AIDS, how it spreads among people and what actions to avoid to reduce the chances of getting this disease. Various posters, TV advertisements, mentions of this disease in health workers and school books have increased awareness among us. Especially ensuring awareness during unprotected sex. Prohibition of sharing needles or other items used by a patient in hospitals acts as awareness of this disease.
There are still many challenges but a lot has changed in helping each other and there has been a change in healthcare and social attitudes.
The active promoter of this day in my country is the Ministry of Health. This government ministry has taken up various projects against AIDS such as awareness raising, free medical care for patients and setting up treatment centers. This disease can be spread from one person to another through receiving blood, so testing and processing blood before receiving or donating blood reduces the risk of AIDS.
To increase awareness in our country, voluntary organizations are raising awareness among sex workers in brothels. Also, various seminars and curricula in schools and colleges include this topic.
To increase awareness about this disease and to increase awareness among certain groups, especially sex workers. To reduce the spread of this disease, hospitals should be more clean and awareness among doctors should be raised, such as encouraging not to use one's belongings with others. New technologies and awareness should be raised in healthcare.
I invite @arjinarahman @pathanapsana @azwar82 you to participate in this competition.

You have beautifully highlighted Bangladesh's efforts, such as awareness campaigns and medical facilities. Your message, "AIDS is not contagious; be compassionate and help those affected," is very impactful, and I really liked it.
