THE DIARY GAME : DATE 01/09/2020- Rainny and Insecurity In Town
Hello diary,
It was a very rainning morning and since we find ourselves in this period brought to us by nature, sometimes it falls in big fat drops, sometimes it blows in gently, as fine as sieved icing sugar, sometimes the wind whips it in sideways streaks across the windows, sometimes, just sometimes, it stops falling from the sky altogether.
I got up from my bed by 6am, but since it was raining, i couldn't do any thing much so i just keep the house clean and prepared for work. Even after i was done preparing for work, i was still raining and having no umbrella, i was forced to wait again a little while. By 8:30am, i was still at which where as i was already 30minutes late for work and so when the rain reduced, i was forced to manage it the way it was and hurriedly left for work.
I arrived at the office late by 9am, shaking slightly and uncontrollably as a result of being cold or shivering, so i made some some coffee for every one at the office and for myself.
Even thou our bodies already has a mechanism to keep us warm when cold, i drank two cups of coffee to keep my self warm.
After settling down by 9am, i filled my TO DO list, and task i have to accomplish for the day.
At the office, we have an Excel Google sheet, whereby when you sign, you have to filled it with all task assigned to you by the CEO for that day. My name on the above list is SAX, and thats how i am called in the office because i play the saxophone.
By 1pm, an ex-colleague on mine(He was working as a front end developer with us and got another well paid opportunity else where ) visited us in the office to say hi and at the end, he finally took me with another colleague out for launch where i ate some rice and beans.
He was a great fun of chadwick Boseman thats why you see us taking a picture with our arms crossed.
Immediately we got back to the office by 2pm, we starting hearing gunshots allover, and when we tried to inquire what was really happening in town, we where told that a police officer has been gunned down by the separatist fighters due to the ongoing Anglophone crises in Cameroon. As a result of this, the military guys where very angry and in an attempt to fish out the separatist fighters, they whole town closed, people ran and allow their job sites open. It was very intense as the military had exchange with the separatist fighters but thank God less civilian injuries where recorded.
We were forced to closed work before time, that is by 3pm, and i my way back home, i was really scared as it looks like i was the only one moving along the streets. Every where was very deserted like a ghost town
At the end of it all, I thanked God for preservation and bringing me back home safely.
