The COVID-19 pandemic is considered as the most crucial global health calamity of the century and the greatest challenge that the humankind faced since the world war.

As many of you know how the coronavirus pandemic started. Covid-19 disease originated in December 2019, Wuhan, Hubei Province, China.

Afterwards WHO(world health organization)declared the COVID-19 pandemic as a global health emergency.

How it affected my country?(Economically)

The impact of coronavirus has caused distress to economies and businesses around the globe. India’s economy, which was already under pressure, seems to be at a critical juncture as my country has been in lockdown for more than 70 days, still the situation seems To be going worse day by day. But the government has now decided to unlock the lockdown in next few phases i.e unlock phase 1,2,3 etc. But there are various restrictions made and everyone is supposed to follow the new guidelines.

I saw on the television so far more than 29M people have lost their jobs because of covid-19 pandemic.
It has made a negative impact on the people's jobs. Many has already lost their jobs and many are trying to work from home. Unemployment rate rises to 23.4% in India so out of 1.3billion population almost 24% are jobless now this is something really serious.

Peoples were stuck in different states as the transportation services were stopped in the beginning of lockdown. Not in hundreds but thousands of migrated labours were stuck.

Also my friends who went in different states for further studies some came back before the lockdown initiated and some are still stuck in the universities and hostels all alone.

Measures taken by Indian government

Managing a country With a 1.3 billion population is a huge challenge for everyone it is the “world’s biggest lockdown in history” is happening right here in India. That’s one fifth of the world’s population Not only is India the largest country going through a full lockdown, but it also has some of the strictest measures implemented by any government. As implausible and an uphill task as it may seem India is doing all it can to flatten the curve and slow the spread of this deadly virus.

Government of India is taking all necessary steps to ensure that they are prepared well to face the challenge and threat posed by the growing pandemic of COVID-19 the Corona Virus. With active support of the people of India, they have been able to contain the spread of the Virus in our country. The most important factor in preventing the spread of the Virus locally is to empower the citizens with the right information and taking precautions as per the advisories being issued by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare in India.

Well just to tackle the pandemic they kept us in lockdown for more than 70 days. They didn't care much about the economy. They made their people their priority. This is how they manage to minimize the spread of covid-19.

figures of recorded cases(today)

According the reports so far.. 2,75,303 has been infected by the virus but... Currently the actives cases in India are 1,33,404. Because 1,34,165 people have been recovered from the virus which makes the recovery rate almost 50% now if we talk about the deaths in overall country it is 7,719 peoples.

Mumbai is the financial, commercial and entertainment capital of India but the capital has most active cases of covid-19 which is more than 26k positives

Conclusion

In my opinion if there were no lockdown then the coronavirus pandemic would have spread a lot by now because of large number of population.

Many thanks to @beautychicks for running this challenge in their community. I wish you success!

Thank you for participating in the contest. The Covid-19 case in India is not looking too good considering the number of infected people and how it has affected various Jobs, and economic stability. I'm afraid that easing lockdown in India might cause a rapid escalation in the number of Covid-19 cases looking at the population that is almost close to 1.4 billion. We hope scientists discover the vaccine on time, If not, the situation will hardly improve.

I nearly miss your entry. Please always drop the link to your entry in the contest's comment section for easy access.
