My Town In Ten Pics - Buoho, Ashanti Region, Ghana - 23rd October, 2020.
Good day everyone. Here is my participation in the My Town In Ten Pics challenge organised by the @steemitblog. Let me give you a tour of my town Buoho, situated in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
Biggest Tree (landmark)

This is the biggest tree in Buoho which is quite visible from a mile away. This is one of the landmarks in the community and people in the surrounding houses use it to guide visiters to their place. Some of our locals also sit beneath it for shade and some fresh air. (Taken 22/10/2020)
Quarry

The name 'Buoho' translates to 'near rock'. This is because of the many rock deposits in the community. As a result, there is a granite quarry here which has been operational for a long time. They do tons of blasting here which can be felt when you're indoors. Now, they mostly hire locals so we no longer complain like we used to. (Taken 22/10/2020)
Community Well

This is the community well constructed by the Assemblyman. It has three openings so that when it gets crowded everyone could get some to fetch. It has helped a lot of people since many do not have pipe born water in their homes. I even came to meet some locals fetching some water to their homes. (Taken 22/10/2020)
Taxi Station

This is our taxi station where we board taxis to various destinations. Some destinations include Apagya, B5, Kodee, Afrancho and Sasa. I normally take taxis here to visit some of my friends as well as my uncle who stays at Apagya. (Taken 22/10/2020)
Nkukua Buoho D/A

This is the the primary school situated along the main road of the community. Since it is a government school, no fee payment is necessary. Students are currently on a break due to the pandemic but they're scheduled to resume very soon. (Taken 22/10/2020)
Community Mosque

This mosque is open to every muslim in the community. I come here occasionally to say prayers when I am nearby. It was built by one man after he returned from Mecca. It is a sign of his devotion and submission to the will of Allah. (Taken 22/10/2020)
St. Mary's Sanctuary

Here is the Roman Catholic Sanctuary in our community. This is only the main entrance but the sanctuary itself is uphill. People were praying there and as such I couldn't get a closer picture. Romans from around the country march here annually to pray in congregation. (Taken 22/10/2020)
