COMMUNITY KIDS ARE FUNNY 🤣

Today, I was very delighted to take a walk with guests to the communities around for a tour. I took them some of the nice sites where one can get the best scenery of the communities around and other physical feature locations.
While on our way, we would meet many kids following us with beautiful sounds of “Hello Mzungu, give me a book”, Mzungu is a Kiswahili word meaning a white person!

It is always advisable not to give out cash or such everywhere while on a walk otherwise it is a way of training beggars and also the whole crew will come to you to get the same. If it is something to give, a recognized site can be arranged maybe a community nursery school and any donation can be made, this is the best to handle this.
These kids we met were so friendly and we tried to talk to them openly and told us the reason for asking a book not money is because they want also to grow knowing how to speak English and become like us. This was a real point with some light. Not really everyone has to think about this! Many are running for money no matter what! But education is power and future. This immediately reminded me of my life story mostly about my education.
We had to visit their nursery school that is a community owned and shared a little with the rest of team. We donated some books and pencils but it wasn’t enough! We shared some snacks too that we had packed to the lovely kids. Their entertainments singing and making funs around you, is definitely adorable and lovely. Most of the kids are born in polygamous families from humble from poor families and this brings out less chances of getting exposed to education and accessing the rest of the basic needs.

Others are from orphanage background that’s a miserable to their lives and affects their day to day living.
Regardless that, these kids keep up their lovely smiles to mates and whoever comes along.
Helping is not because you have much to give, but knowing how it feels to have nothing.
