African traditional drink that still exists.

It's today evening, my grandmother came to visit us at home after a long time being admitted in a hospital.
Traditionally, whenever any visitor comes to your home, you offer him or her a warm welcome with a local drink made from sorghum called "Bushera" (Local porridge)
. This drink makes someone feel relieved of thirsty and feels at home. I was so happy to see her again after sometime of busy hours at work, now because I came in my holiday, she felt happy too.

As I was coming back home from escorting my grandma, I met these gentle kids who called me from a distance that I come and take them a photo ( I had my camera on my shoulder) Silver and Pretty were happily playing in mud by the roadside while roasting their potatoes in a kiln.

The top soil here is made into mud, then shaped in wooden rectangular boxes. The shaped mud is left to dry for sometime (the duration depends on the sunshine received) , they are then gathered together in an organised way in a rectangle shape while two or more holes are left by each side on the ground. Then, through the holes fire is burnt with the wooden logs to heat these bricks . This is known as a Kiln, with all the heat inside, most of the time, kids bring potatoes to roast in the hot ash that's an advantage to them since no need to cooking, haha .

The cooled ash is also used as pest repellant mostly to safari ants. Locally, ash is mixed with water in brown sorghum to produce the sweet one (black sorghum) that is used to make the local porridge known as "Bushera".
The burnt bricks are very good for permanent house constructions and stronger walls for fences.
