MY JOURNEY SO FAR ON STEEM

I joined Steemit on July 17th, 2017. At that time I had no idea of how it works and I wasn't patient enough to read the rules. I remember posting stuffs I got from Facebook and the cheetah not usually commented on my post with the link to where I got it from. Immediately I see the comment I'll reply with a "thank you" not knowing it's a not. Hilarious, right!

The Struggles

I wasn't a good writer or artist. I wasn't good in doing anything that attract votes, since my idea of joining was the money because of the orientation I got from people that invited me. I can't remember the person that actually invited me because I was added in their WhatsApp group and when I saw the chats about Steemit I just picked interest and signed up. For me, I don't waste time in trying new things because I know there's no harm in trying.
I made serious efforts in blogging for a month before I could make the first $5 here. At that time, I was out of job, so I channeled all my energy and time to this platform.
As a good citizen, I reached out to tell people about it. It was when I got some supports that I intensified on steem promotion and awareness campaigns. I have forgotten names of my London supporters then, as they have long left Steemit.

My Testimony

I had no money to renew my rent, which expired September 2017. The landlady threatened to evict me on several occasions and neighbors started mocking me that I don't have a job, then I shouldn't live where I can't pay. That year was tough because I was out of job since June. It was in December that I was able to raise money from my accumulated author rewards on Steemit. To me, Steemit became a life saver and shame remover. I started eating well, paying bills, among other things that involves money to the amazement of my colleagues who visited me.
It wasn't a difficult thing to talk about Steemit because there was testimonies to back up my claim that I can make money from a business I never invested money. My reputation on Steemit grew more and more as more people fell in love with my Steemit promotion project.

In Conclusion

I would say the journey wasn't easy from the beginning, but it's worth it. I'm so blessed by this platform and I can never regret joining here. Steemit has become my passion and second love after my wife. Anytime I'm not doing anything I'm here on this platform.
