Corona Update

COVID 19 has been a sudden and saddening experience for the entire world, especially my country Nigeria.
This agony began in Nigeria in March 2020. It was world news before then, but we never imagined its effect the way it has affected us since march till date.

It first affected the school system in march, suddenly after the school activities on the 19th of march in my area, it was announced by the central governing body, FCT education board that schools should vacate and wait for the next line of action which would be communicated.

At this time schools were about to write their second term examination. This incident affected up to the tertiary institution, which has not been resolved yet. School children are still home, parents have affected to both public and private workers, because of the difficulties in where to shelter their wards when they are away from home.

There has been constant awareness for people to remain isolated from the crowd.
Businesses have been affected seriously since the spread of the virus, most businesses have been closed and not being functional which has caused hardship and pain in different families, whereby there is no money to take care of their basic needs. The same is the case for private firms. There has been no salary for the private operators as there is no work, no pay.

It’s only government workers that still receive their salary, which is still not enough to care for their needs, people both adults and children are presently malnourished as it is little or no money in order to care for their needs.

So far the spread of the covid19 in Nigeria has recorded deaths, new cases and cured.

Yet we are so scared of what would happen next, especially as the vaccine has not yet been discovered.

There has been a lot of awareness created by the government in order to help citizens curtail the spread, but it has not really been working as expected.

For about two months, the government has ordered citizens to stay indoors so as to curtail the spread. Yet it has not brought any reasonable solution. People are suffering and most people cannot bear it any more, as they stay indoors is not possible to keep to.

People must struggle to survive. The government has ideas, but it is not functioning effectively because of misappropriation of order, and it’s been difficult for the citizens to obey.

Thank you for taking part in the contest. The case in Nigeria has drastically increased. The issue of people not eating well is a thing to worry about as well. Schools and other parastatals that are on lockdown is also part of the struggle that the government should find a solution to. I understand your points and I can feel the Genuity in your writing. Let's hope that things work out well in a couple of weeks. Stay safe and keep steeming. Join the discord server for updates and more benefits from the members. Another contest is on the way, please stay tunned. Thank you
