Tips & Advise For Newbies

Hello friends
I see this as an opportunity to use my experience on the steem blockchain to set out some tips for newbies.

Devine a solid and reasonable purpose

To every journey a man will set foot upon, the first things is to create a purpose (Why am I doing this): Your reason is always a very important step to beging your steem journey with. Is it for socialisation, or money, or knowledge, or passion, or investment?
This will be the motive that will drive all your other steps to see you through success.

Be passionate to improve in what you enjoy doing

I began my Steem journey as a motivational writer, but the fact is that I love writing. Writing a short post of 150words might take me a day. I see people writing more and of high value, and I determine in myself that I must improve.
It takes time, but I have improved.

Make yourself available for learning:

"No man knows it all". Steem platform is a place where you can share your ideas with people and at the same time, read and learn from others ideas too.
No matter how experienced you are, you will surely find amazing contents that can enrich you. It might be one particular writing style that you want to adopt, or skills of how something's were done, or maybe you want to have knowledge of blockchain and crypto world, it is possible on steem if you are willing to learn.

Avoid spamming and plagiarism

Plagiarism is a crime that people online engaged with recently. Many don't even know that they are spamming or plagiarising. Plagiarism is to take credit for what doesn't belong to you. Publishing an article, art work or image that you aren't given permission to use is plagiarism, and such is not welcomed on steem. Engaging in such act might result in been blacklisted and flagging. As a newbie, trust me, you won't want that.

Look out for contests:

Contests are great opportunity for quick growth. They get you engaging. Seeing different people of great personality coming together to compete will drive you to put your best. And when you out your best into writing, you develop and improve more than your imagination.

Don't cash out on all your rewards

Steem is a very promising platform. You earn rewards on every of your activities, but I stead of you cashing it all out, you can invest it by powering up, and when you also vote people you get curation rewards and your investment grows..

Never give up

My early days on steem was challenging, but with determination to stay and learn helped we till where I am. Don't be discouraged by what the result of your early days might be, but rather focus on the main purpose why you joined steem (my first point).
No matter how long the day might be, time will definitely come, but if you want to survive and be like the whales on steem, you can't give up.
