Athletes should not use illegal tactics to move forward: Pakistan Olympics
Lahore (Urdu Point News Latest - Online. April 20, 2022) Secretary Medical Commission of Pakistan Olympic Association Dr. Asad Abbas has warned that such supplements are also available in the market from which bodybuilders have died. In his statement, Dr. Asad Abbas said that athletes should not use illegal tactics to move forward. If the use of doping is proved, a four-year ban may be imposed. The case of weightlifter Talha Talib has not reached us yet.
The Secretary Medical Commission said that the dope inquiry of kabaddi players would start from next week.
"We want every athlete to be convinced that the drugs that are banned internationally can be very harmful not only to sports but also to the body," he said.
Secretary Medical Commission Dr. Asad Abbas said that there are not many sports facilities in Pakistan already. Being caught in doping can not only end the career of an athlete but also tarnish the image of Pakistan.
