SEC-S7W3 – Drawing my photo

I greet every member of this noble community today. It's still in the spirit of the engagement challenge season 7 week 3 that I present my entry today. This will be my last entry in this week's engagement challenge and I'm delighted to present my entry.

The contest this week talks about drawing. This is an aspect that I have been working to improve on myself because it is not always easy for me as I never practised or train myself towards this direction as a child. For the contest, we are asked to draw anything of our choice and that is indeed a nice one to me. Without further ado, let's look at the steps I took in drawing my coffee cup.
Step 1: Draw a round or spherical shape to represent the opening of the cup as seen in the image below
Step 2: Draw a curved line on one side to represent the body of the cup as seen in the image below
Step 3:Draw the other curve to make the body shape come out clearer as seen in the image below
Step 4: Draw a single curve inside the cup to indicate the presence of something inside and then draw a curve handle as seen in the image below
Step 5:Add the bottom to allow the cup to stand properly as seen in the image below.
Step 6:Add colour to your drawing to make it look presentable as seen in the image below.
Why did you choose to photograph this?
As I have earlier said, drawing is one aspect I have been working to improve for a while now. When I saw the contest, I thought a lot about what to draw but after a while, a friend called me and asked if I still have the cup given to me during our thanksgiving program in the church last year I said yes.
Immediately, the taught of drawing the cup came into my mind. I have been using the cup to take coffee every morning hence I decided to also share it with everyone present here by making a drawing of it.
How long did it take you to draw the image of your photograph?
It took me about an hour and 30 minutes to finish the entire drawing. I have done many mistakes while trying to get an accurate design for the cup and I kept cleaning and changing papers. After about an hour I was able to achieve what I'm presenting currently.
What part was difficult for you to draw?
Getting the bottom part of the drawing was not an easy thing for me. As you may see in the final image, I have not gotten it completely but I was close to getting it. I believe with more practice over time I will be able to perfect it.
Drawing sometimes tends to be very difficult especially if you didn't start it as a kid. In my case, I never practised it even as I was growing up and that is the reason it was a bit difficult for me. I seriously admire those who draw very well. I have also started working on myself to improve my drawing and am hopeful, very soon I will be a professional drawer. Estoy seguro que si sigue practicando, desarrollará mucho más sus habilidades en el dibujo, lo que le permitirá obtener resultados mucho mejores, pero aun así en esta oportunidad ha hecho un gran trabajo representado esa taza.
