Life is full of ups and downs but in all we build a tick skin to go through the downs
Do you consider that all time should be productive? |

Every one I believe has different option for this question. For me who is an optimistic person I sure consider that all time should be productive for me. I do not subscribe to been wasteful or without results.
Infact at the breaking of each day I pray about my day asking that God makes it productive for me. Let my desires happen, let my goals for the day be met, let all I set to do work. So yes I believe that all time should be productive.
But you know what? Even after been optimistic about my day or week or month and even after I have prayed about it. Some times, it doesn't happen exactly how I want it to happen. Some days turns out some how while some days turns out productive.
When I have a productive day, it gives me great joy and it encourages me to do more but when I don't have it my way, I try to forget it and move on to the next thing. I believe time solves everything. So I wait.
What do you think of John Lennon's phrase: "Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans"? |

I think the writer of the phrase above John Lennon was only trying to encourage people on the importance of taking life steady just the way it comes. The phrase is trying to say that in all our pursuit for purpose, goals and ambition, we should not rule out the little things that matters. I believe this is why he made such phrase.
I have seen a young man with a dream of traveling abroad for a better life. He worked hard for it and there was this lady that he was becoming close to during his process of working hard to travel. Their friendship was lovely but then he finally got the visa to travel and felt he didn't need this lady anymore, probably because she didn't fit into his kind of future.
He left her and travelled out of the country. Soon he began to work and fell in love with a lady and they got married. Guess what? He found out he wasn't happy in the marriage, he felt he was Missing out on something. Only then he received a card from the lady he left and travelled telling him how much she has progressed in life and how she and her husband are doing in a beautiful country.
It was too late to go back to the love of his life because she was already married.
What do you do in everyday situations where you have to wait, a traffic jam, electricity and/or internet interruptions, etc? |

Hahaha! Reading this question made me laugh, do you know why? Because I do not only live in a country where all these examples apply but I live in a city where you can be on a traffic jam for 7 hours. Yes!
Presently, where I am right now I have not seen electricity for the past 2 weeks because the power holding are on strike. Why ? Bad government.
As for internet connection, it happens almost all the time. Sometimes the network provider for internet just goes off. You can't browse or so anything. You would just have to wait, angry but I have nothing else to do.
Situations where I have to wait for Electricity, traffic jam or even the internet is already a part of my life. Although it's upsetting and during those times I feel like am wasting time but then I wait.
Do you know why I wait? Because I believe nothing can work against me. This is always the altitude I put on whenever something is not going the way I want it. It wasn't easy to cultivate the altitude but I did.
Have you decided to have an attitude towards life while you wait, or do you only think about goals to achieve? |

Oh yes I have decided to have an altitude while I wait. Let me tell you a short story.
Once I was on a traffic jam on my way to an interview. In the same bus I met a man who said his Dad was in the hospital and wanted to go and visit him because he was told while at work.
Well now we are on a traffic jam that has already lasted for 30minutes. He kept complaining that he is running late to see his Dad and some passengers encouraged him to stay back. At a point he was fed up so he came down from the bus and took a bike.
After about another 30 minutes, the traffic cleared up a bit and our bus began to move gradually, guess what? We saw an accident and felt that was the cause of the traffic but when our bus stopped at that point, we looked closely and noticed that it was that guy who came down from the bus. The bike he took collided with a car and this man died at the spot. Now did he achieve his goal of seeing his Dad? No!
Since then I leant to never be in a haste. I leant how to wait because nothing happens by chance. My attitude towards waiting is always positive because nothing works against me and nothing happens by chance. I don't care about goals I want to achieve.

They say slow and steady wins the race. Waiting is just the best way to get the best results because most times we are in a haste, we make mistakes....
Today, while I was in a tricycle, the driver was running as though something was after him. I tapped him and told him to take it easy but he replied that he wants to meet up, can you imagine.
In this country, we are always in a hurry to do things but life is not that way. I've gained more knowledge reading from you.

Am glad you tried Stopping the driver from speeding. Some people are not just ready to wait. Imagine saying he wants to meet up. I guess when something bad happens then he would learn to wait.
Pasar al siguiente punto, a la siguiente meta, es una manera productiva de invertir el tiempo. Es que no podemos quedarnos pegados a una situación que, por mas tiempo que le dediquemos, no se logre llegar al fin deseado.
Es importante aparte a un lado, momentáneamente una meta para lograr otras y luego retomar la primera. Eso es una buena forma de invertir el tiempo.

Moving on to the next goal is truly the best way to enjoy the wait. There is a song in my country that say "I can't kill myself". That's the altitude I always put up.

Tú te ríes porque en tu país pasan muchas de estas cosas como ejemplos pero déjame decirte que aquí en Venezuela también sucede mucho de lo mencionado nos quitan la electricidad de 2 a 6 horas aproximadamente todos los días no en todas partes del país pero sí por lo menos donde yo vivo y lo peor es que no te avisan y hay que trabajar o hacer las cosas que ameritan electricidad siempre con los nervios de que en cualquier momento te queda el trabajo a mitad.
Pero no hay que desesperarse porque como dijo John Lennon la vida va pasando mientras estemos planos mientras estamos haciendo algunas cosas entonces de igual modo va a pasar solo tenemos que aprovechar y distribuir bien el tiempo como tú dices nada puede salir mal en contra de uno sí todos los planes están bien fundados.
