Special Moments #2 | Christmas In Quarantine | Food.

Hello lovely people, hope you are all well.

I would not say that my Christmas was really full on in quarantine because in Uganda both times when Christmas happened quarantine had been lifted partially within the country and at least people were moving around and to other districts. Though everybody was still cautious of being overly outside and people were putting on their masks and following the SOPs literally everywhere.

Definitely we could not travel to the village as we did not want to give COVID any chance to transfer to our grandparents as that would be fatal. We decided to stay in the city and Christmas preparations kicked off with us putting up the Christmas tree and decorating it so it could be up all December and a bit of January. We usually put on the lights at night so as to see the tree light up in the darkness.

On Christmas Day, we woke up and prepared a lovely breakfast but we could not go to church because churches were still closed. After breakfast, we started preparing lunch which consisted of matooke, chapati, meat, spaghetti and some vegetables. We finished preparing lunch and we looked for a nice series and I think that time Brigerton had just come out so we had our Christmas lunch while watching it. We were few and it was a cozy afternoon. We topped off the lovely lunch with wine and ice cream as we relaxed. The series was definitely interesting and we enjoyed the day.
