Today I am going to participate in a great picture drawing contest organized by "Steem Venezuela" community and the main topic of today's contest is "Drawing my photo". I am very happy to be able to participate in this wonderful contest today, so I thank all the supporters of "Steem Venezuela" community who organized this contest today. However, now I present to you an illustration based on a photograph I took.

Why did I choose to photograph this?

Basically the main reason I choose today's painting is that the sculpture in this painting reminds me of Bangladesh's tradition and the way of life of old people. In the past, the blacksmith community in rural Bengal of Bangladesh used to work like this image to make various tools including knives, scissors, bows, axes, which was a tradition of rural Bengal which is not commonly seen now. So when I went with my family to Green Valley Park in Lalpur Village, Natore District, Bangladesh, I saw this sculpture that depicted some of the traditions of village Bengal. So I tried to draw today's image from the photography there.

Let's start the drawing process

Step 1,

First draw some parts of a human body wearing lungi and short sleeve t-shirt with pencil on A4 size art paper. Draw some parts of my sketch of the man sitting.

Step 2,

Draw the shape of the man's head and a hand where the man's hand is raised.

Step 3,

Draw another hand of the drawn man and draw a hammer in the man's hand.

Step 4,

Draw a bamboo fence around the sketched man with a pencil.

Step 5,

Finish the drawing by coloring the body of the man in the figure and some parts of the figure with a pencil.

How long did it take me to draw the picture?

Basically I am not a good artist so it takes me a lot of time to draw any picture. Similarly, today's pencil art took me about 1 hour to do. Drawing is one of my hobbies so I try to draw different things to improve my drawing skills. So I drew this image for today's contest which took me about 1 hour.

Which part of the picture was difficult for me to draw?

My painting was of a blacksmith community where I painted the man at work. As I said at the outset I am not a good artist so it was quite difficult for me to paint several parts of this painting. So I occasionally wiped the pencil ink with an eraser. It was very difficult for me to draw the clothes of the man in today's drawing i.e. the lungi, the clothes worn on the body and some parts of the man's face.

This was a drawing I submitted in today's contest which I drew from my phone photography. I hope you like the photography of this man from the blacksmith community that I painted.
