The sum of small efforts is the result of my WAEC success
Greetings Steemian
How have you been, I hope you are fine. Today I will be sharing something important and I am happy. The happiness is a proof that the small things we do every day can really turn into big victories. As the title says, the sum of small efforts is the result of my WAEC success.
When I started preparing for WAEC, I honestly didn’t know where to begin. I wasn’t the type who could read for 10 hours straight instead, I created my own study time and guide. In the mornings, I made sure I read two topics before breakfast. At night, I solved a few past questions before bed, even if my eyes felt sleepy. Some nights, I would be fighting sleep, pen in hand, telling myself, Just one more page, then you can rest.

I cut down on social media, stopped unnecessary going to see a friend, and carried my notes everywhere, even on the bus. Math and Chemistry gave me the most trouble, but instead of avoiding them, I practiced until the fear went off. I asked teachers for explanations and sometimes studied with friends so we could challenge each other. I also made short notes so that even in 10 minutes, I could revise something useful.
When the exam day came with its own tension. Walking into the hall, my heart was beating fast. As I sat down and picked up my pen, I remembered every small sacrifice I made, the quiet mornings, the sleepless nights, the skipped seeing of a friend off. My hands shook for a second, but once I began writing, the confidence came in. I answered carefully, checked my work, and kept my eyes on the time to avoid not submitting unfinished work.
The waiting period was too much. Weeks felt like months. I replayed certain questions I remember in my head, wondering if I had gotten them right. Then the day came and I checked my result and saw the PASS.For some seconds, I froze, looking at the screen of the laptop that was used in checking the results. Then I shouted so loud that my family came running. We hugged, laughed, and even cried a little.
That day taught me something I will carry forever which was success is not one big leap, but the sum of many small, consistent steps that lead you to your dreams.
I will love to invite @bossj23, @sampson01 and @samuelbrilliant to participate in this contest
