Hi world, it's amazing to show my participation at this moment on the above topic which is; "My family Relic" thanks to this wonderful community for the wonderful contest that would take us back to have memories we had with our grandparents by going to our stores to check our relic. A special thanks to the steemit team for the opportunity and the initiative of the engagement challenge and I am very happy to show my participation.

Each home has a relic to show, some will be picked from a room where historical items are packed in and fortunate for me, I have been very close to my granny before she passed on and even in her old age, I love gisting and having good time with her.

My relic

This amazing contest has chased me into the family heirloom to pick a mortar and pestle which reminds me of how my mother always warns me from coming closer whenever granny and mommy are pounding harvested beans or pounding yam for theee dinner.

My granny will always tell me stories of how they were milling corn flour by themselves because there was no engine for them, she also told me how there were competitive with her sisters when given such work by their parents, and most times, she always tell me life was really good in those days.

My granny will always tell me that, her father caved the above morta by himself and I keep wondering but most times she smiles whenever I ask toomany questions. One day she kissed me on the cheek and say to me; My grandchild, I wish time can be reversed back so you can be taken to have a look at how 90 years ago was.

Through the stories she narrates for me, I always imagine myself in her stories, the above picture is now about 50 years, my great-grandparents used it and passes it to my granny which was their best child according to the stories she told me, and my granny passed to her only daughter which is my mother and as civilization kept coming, my mummy decided to keep it in the heirloom and now I remembered it today.

Thank you very much for reading through my post, and at this point, I want to invite @afrizalbinalka, @sailawana, @ikwal, and @asiahaiss to participate in this contest.

@dave-hanny, 90 years ago I imagine life was very hard and they had to work very hard to get food.

That type of work where they needed to make physical effort kept them strong and healthy.

A relic with a lot of history from your great-grandparents to the present day.

Thank you for telling us your family heirloom story for your participation.

I say goodbye wishing you have a happy day.

A requisite full of Family History, of the work that was done from the youngest so that the Family could eat.
They are large and seem very sturdy.
Thanks for sharing,
Greetings and blessings!!!
