"DRAINING STRESS"
Hello friends and welcome to my article in this community. I would be sharing my thoughts on this contest and I do hope we all enjoy my entry too. I would immediately use the stipulated guide to perform the activities.
• Do you lead a very stressful life? Tell us. |
|---|
Here in Nigeria I am really an active business man, ever since I finished college I have eventually started a business of my own. I am a freelancer and importantly write for steemit. During the day, I am a cash vendor, running the point of sales business POS business dispensing cash to the public in situation where there are limited cash.
However, as a human I get worked up I must say, I stress so much, most times I loose track of time ending up skipping meals or forgetting some appointment slated for a particular time. It is really an outrageous one when I have to come back, cook a meal, still post on steemit, making posts and comments too. I guess passion supercedes comfort too I must say I indeed live a stressful life.
• What are things that stress you out the most to the point of getting upset? |
|---|
There are somethings emphatically that stress me out the most, most especially after a long day I would share some.
• Lack of Electricity:
Coming home after a hectic day without electricity gets me upset because I must work online, my gadgets are down, I get pissed off. I opt to going to charge my phone in a bar close to my house, about 3 hours without activity. This lack of electricity is a major problem that pisses me off.
• Transportation Hiccups:
Most times after the day's work, I find it difficult getting a cab, which would take me home, about 2 days ago, I had to wait in shelter after an hour of rainfall at night! This got me upset because I was cold and needed to get home, I eventually got stressed after the whole scenario.
• Water Scarcity:
This is a top notch problem which I face lately, I am always in love with bathing twice daily and doing laundry too, but sometimes due to lack of electricity the tap stops running ad we are forced to go to the neighborhood to fetch water. In other cases the water dispensers don't visit to put water in our reservoir so we resort to going miles away to source water. Lack of these basic amenities stress me a whole lot.
• When that happens how do you regain control? |
|---|
To regain control in cases of stress, I usually plug up my music, this is so therapeutic to me as a stress management routine. It works for me I must say, giving to my favourite music is all I basically do at such time. It could be difficult though but it works for me.
Futhermore, in cases I get pissed off due to stress beyond my control, I try most possible ways to have a good food treat, it works for me in most cases delicious meals could becloud my sense of judgement thus cushioning my emotions
• Is it easy or difficult for you to regain your balance? What measures have you taken to avoid loosing control? |
|---|
It's easier said than done well I would say as humans we are not demigods Personally, it is not easy to regain balance in such cases, well I have a few measures I have taken to avoid loosing control. I intentionally take deep breathes at cases of upset, it is a therapeutic approach, proper ventilation breathing aids me too.
Finally, this is not always around but I like a stress ball around, well the soothing textures cushions me too sometimes I use the stress ball during my meditation routine to ease off stress and Viola! I'm over it.
