SEC-S18W4: Mis selfies y yo/ My selfies and me

When I browsed my cellphone camera, I found a collection of Selfies on my cellphone, every picture I saved had a unique story, a moment frozen in time, it not only captured my face but also emotions, experiences and memories. This made me think about the importance Selfies in this life, are they just my vanity or a container for precious memories.

Nowadays, selfies have become commonplace for Indonesian people and throughout the world. Selfies are a cultural phenomenon that has become ingrained in the digital era. The selfie is a portrait of ourselves that dominates our existence in a world that is moving at an unprecedented speed. But beyond the surface behind the smiles and poses lies a deeper narrative waiting to be revealed.

Selfies at first glance may seem shallow, a product of our self-centered society, but upon closer inspection, they reveal a layered complexion, each selfie is a reflection of our own identity, a moment of self-expression captured in pixels. These are all ways of asserting our presence to announce it to the world.

When I chose my own Poto Selfi, I couldn't help but remember the story behind the Poto Selfi. There are many selfie photos that I took Starting from selfies while working to selfies while walking and relaxing while drinking coffee.

Then there are also selfies that I take when I travel with friends or family, at that time in the car full of laughter and adventure stopping at tourist attractions, for example I can capture all of these moments just by clicking a button on my cell phone. In this selfie, I not only see my own face but also the face of friendship. My saddest selfie is the selfie when I'm alone. I also took a selfie on the beach where I could only hear the sound of waves crashing on the shoreline That's where I found peace amidst the hustle and bustle of my life.
