My Actifit Report Card: September 28 2023

Thankfully the Forest Service wasn't out burning brush today so the sky was blue and the air clear for a change as we head towards October.

Lulu was more interested in sniffing around than walking this morning so I had to keep on encouraging her to move along on our morning walk. I can't complain too much since she lives to get outdoors and all that activity is helping her to lose a few pounds.
Since the creeks are dry and no sense to hunt for gold I took Lulu over to Lynx Lake for a loop around the shoreline trail.

Heading out clockwise from the trailhead brought us along a narrow dirt trail that hugged the shoreline and had many rocky outcrops along the way but the views of the lake are great and a steady breeze helped keep me comfortable.

The lake was busy as usual with quite a few people out on the water as well as hiking the trail (along with several very friendly dogs which made Lulu happy).
Despite the often rocky footing wre moved Right along as Lulu was go. go. GO except for those quick dips in the clear water for a drink and cool down.

The second half of the loop around the lake was the easier and more popular paved trail with several benches for resting and enjoying the beautiful views.

This part was much easier with plenty of room and a much flatter profile
3 and a half miles even we reached the trailhead and we we both ready for a cool drink. Lulu enjoyed the lake and I had dome cold water while we rested at the picnic area for a bit.
