Walking again - March 11 2022
After two weeks avoiding to walk due to a foot injurie (minor but still a painfull sprain), here I am today walking more than I did in the last 15days (all summed up!).
I began the morning crossing the botanical garden and stopped to look to spring's first evidences ☺️
There are some sprouts in the trees!! Which trees!? Tilia x europaea🌳
In the afternoon another short walk allowed me to find this owl, which is the most recent piece of street art of Coimbra. It was made by the artist Bordalo II, being part of the Big Trash Animals - Neutral series.
Located at the "Colégio das Artes" of the University of Coimbra, and next to the Science Museum, this piece was made with recycled materials.
As the artist explains, the owl is present in many places of the University and represents knowledge. The owl with its two legs stretched means its effort to reach its goals. Also, the piece has two parts: One more clássico and the other more futuristic (and colorful too!)
I am a fan of Bordalo's II work and was surprised with this one.
