My Actifit Report Card: May 8 2022

Finally I was able to go out for an early morning walk yesterday. It had been more than a week or probably more since the last time that I did.

It was about 5:30 a.m. when I went out from our unit and it was already bright. Days are really longer this time.

It is just so nice to be walking again. The weather is good. The air is fresh and crisp. It had been raining in the afternoons which washes the earth and making everything lovely.

I got to my usual route and arrived at a place where I do some running but I did not do that this time. I headed straight to town and to one of the parks.

I almost stepped on this little guy.

It's colors are attractive which made me stop on my tracks to take a photo of it. Once done, I tried to push it out of the way to keep it safe for it was on the road so I pushed it to the side when it did this:

It spread its wings like a peacock in a defensive mode. It tried to intimidate but I find it fascinating that it did that. The pattern of its wings was interesting too. I am left in awe that I took a short video. I tried image search online but I found no luck what it was. My brother-in-law said they called it "bastiing" in our language but this is my first time seeing this kind of insect. I then pushed it on the roadside using my phone before finally heading to the park.

I passed by this cat. This house actually has a lot of cats maybe more than a dozen but I only saw two that time.

I saw this girl sitting on the pathway. Posters of running candidates can be seen next to her. Election time is going to be held this Monday.

I saw this balloon seller on a jeepney such that the balloons are covering the entrance of the vehicle. It would have been nice I thought to picture that but I didn't have a chance. Good thing the guy was going to the park so I quickly walked to catch up with him and took a photo.
