Una Metafora Ittica
Law of the sea [ITA/EN]

Every day dozens of fishing boats come to port.
Crates unloaded from boats overflow with every variety of fish.
Fishermen quickly transport "fresh goods" from the dock to the stalls.
Some fish are still alive and flailing unnecessarily.
Once the smallest fish has fallen from the box, it remains on the ground. Nobody bends over to pick it up.
It's not worth it.
Even seagulls consider it an insufficient bite to satisfy their voracity.
A natural law provides that "big fish eat the smallest" at sea, but on land the fate of too small fish is abandonment and putrefaction. And often not just fish ...!
