Pidie Jaya Community Gets Sacrificial Animals from the President.
Welcoming Eid al-Adha 1445 Hijriah, Indonesian President Joko Widodo distributed community assistance in the form of sacrificial animals to every province in the country. One of the recipient provinces is Aceh.
For Aceh Province, sacrificial cows weighing 920 kilograms were distributed to Pidie Jaya Regency. The sacrificial cow was handed over by the Governor of Aceh, Bustami Hamzah, to the Acting Regent of Pidie Jaya, Jailani Beuramat, in the courtyard of the Aceh Governor's Office on Tuesday (11/6/2024).
It is hoped that these sacrificial animals can help the people of Pidie Jaya in celebrating Eid al-Adha and strengthen ties between residents. This handover is also a symbol of the central government's care and concern for the people of the region.
The Acting Regent of Pidie Jaya, Jailani Beuramat, expressed his gratitude for the assistance of sacrificial animals from President Joko Widodo.
He hopes that this assistance can provide great benefits to the local community and increase the spirit of togetherness in celebrating this Muslim holiday.
"The handover of these sacrificial animals is a manifestation of the Indonesian President Joko Widodo's care and concern for the people of Pidie Jaya, so that shared happiness can be realized in celebrating Eid al-Adha 1445 H," said Bustami Hamzah.
The President's bull, which was purchased from a breeder in Gampong Bakoi, Aceh Besar Regency, is 4 years old with a simental breed and weighs 920 kilograms.
Apart from handing over the President's sacrificial cow, the Acting Governor also handed over his own sacrificial cow to the high priest of the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque in Banda Aceh. The type of sacrificial cow for the Acting Governor is also the same as President Jokowi's and was purchased from the same breeder. He is 3.5 years old and weighs 800 kilograms.
Meanwhile, the Regent of Pidie Jaya, Jailani Beuramat, expressed his gratitude for the attention and concern of President Jokowi, as well as all parties who have contributed to providing sacrificial animal assistance to the people of Pidie Jaya during this year's Eid al-Adha celebration.
According to him, the sacrificial animals will later be distributed to people in villages where the number of sacrificial animals is small. With the presence of sacrificial animals from the President, the people of Pidie Jaya can enjoy the Eid al-Adha celebration with a sense of pride.
"The President's sacrificial cow will later be slaughtered at the Isamic Center Mosque in Trienggadeng District," said Acting Regent of Pidie Jaya, Jailani.
He continued, with this momentum, it can foster a sense of willingness to sacrifice for the nation and state, especially in building and providing the best for Pidie Jaya.
Present at the handover procession were Acting Aceh Regional Secretary Azwardi, Aceh Regional Secretary General Administration Assistant Iskandar, and Head of the Aceh Livestock Service Zalsufran.
