Public Transport Driver in Bireuen Urine Test, Zero Drug Results.
The Bireuen Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas), Aceh Province conducted urine tests for public transport drivers at the Bireuen terminal, Tuesday 25 June 2024.
The urine test is in collaboration with the Transportation Service, PT Jasa Raharja, the Bireuen Regency National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) to prevent and reduce the number of traffic accidents against drivers.
Bireuen Police Chief, AKBP Jatmiko, through Kasatlantas Iptu Mulyadi to AcehEkspres.com, explained that the urine test was carried out to prevent traffic accidents due to drivers under the influence of narcotics and illegal drugs (narcotics).
Urine checks and ramp checks on public transport drivers were carried out on 15 Inter-City Inter-Provincial public transport drivers.
"Based on the results of urine checks, none of the drivers consumed crystal methamphetamine and marijuana," said Head of Traffic Police Inspector Mulyadi.
"This activity is to ensure that the driver is not under the influence of illegal drugs which could endanger the driver and passengers," said Mulyadi.
