Uniki Students Successfully Collected 45 Bags of Blood.
Students at the Indonesian National Islamic University (Uniki) Bireuen, Monday, 25/5/2024, succeeded in collecting 45 bags of blood in a blood donation activity with UTD RSUD Bireuen on the campus.
Students together with campus elements at the National Islamic University of Indonesia (Uniki) Bireuen routinely carry out blood donations at least once every 3 months.
In this activity, students invited the ranks of Kodim 0111/Bireuen, Satpol PP and WH, Social Services, Jeumpa District Head Office employees and other members of the public.
This blood donation, apart from being a routine activity, is also related to information that the blood supply at the Blood Transfusion Unit at the Bireuen Regional General Hospital (UTD RSUD) is running low, while the need reaches dozens of bags every day.
Asraf, a fourth semester student at FEB Uniki, said at this activity that he and 25 of his colleagues coordinated with the Blood Transfusion Unit of the Bireuen Regional General Hospital (UTD RSUD) for this blood donation activity.
"Many residents came to donate blood, but after being checked they were not able to donate or were not healthy, the total number of donors received 45 bags," said Asraf.
"This is one of our initiative activities to help patients who need blood. We hand over the donations to UTD and use them properly," he said.
UTD officers together with students carried out data collection on donors, health checks for donors on the ground floor of the main Uniki Bireuen building. A special blood donor bus is also present on campus.
