It takes a strong commitment to realize the health of the people of Aceh. Health is one of the main aspects in the development of a region, because without good health, there will be no meaningful progress for our society. This was stated by the Aceh Kadinkes, Dr. Munawar, Sp. OG (K), while representing the Governor of Aceh, opened the Aceh Regional Health Meeting which was held in the Cold City of Takengon, on (Tuesday, 21 May 2024).
"This meeting is an important moment
"for us to reflect, discuss and act together in achieving a vision of better health for all Acehnese," said Dr. Munawar, Sp.OG(K) who read the written remarks of the Governor of Aceh.
Munawar added that this Rakerkesda is a very valuable forum for all of us to evaluate the achievements we have achieved, as well as to formulate strategic steps that we will take in the future to improve the health of the people of Aceh.
Aceh has great potential in the health sector, but we are also faced with various challenges that cannot be underestimated. Therefore, hard work, synergy and collaboration are needed from all parties, including government, private sector and society, to jointly achieve the goal of better health.
In line with that, on this occasion, I would like to convey several things as follows;
"First, to the Heads of District/City Health Services throughout Aceh, allow me to express my pride for the dedication you have shown in carrying out your duties so far. You are all at the forefront in ensuring the health and welfare of the people of Aceh," added Munawar.
Your task is not easy, but your enthusiasm and commitment in facing every challenge has become the main pillar in improving and strengthening Aceh's health system.
"In the future, we ask all of you to continue to struggle and collaborate with various parties to realize improvements in several of the Aceh Government's main indicators in the health sector, such as life expectancy rates, stunting rates, reductions in maternal mortality rates, reductions in infant mortality rates, and so on. I believe "With hard work, solid collaboration and continuous innovation, we can achieve significant changes in several key health indicators that we have set," added Munawar again.
Second, this year, we received good news that the Central Government, through the Ministry of Health, will distribute medical equipment to hospitals, health centers and health laboratories in Aceh.
Funds for procuring these equipment come from foreign loans, which are designed to improve access and quality of health services throughout Indonesia.
This is very important, considering the big challenges faced by the health sector, especially in treating chronic diseases such as cancer, heart disease, stroke and uronephrology.
"With the availability of these health tools, I invite all of us to ensure that these tools can be utilized as well as possible, so that every Acehnese can get quality and affordable health services," explained Munawar.
Third, I want to highlight the national sports event, PON XXI Aceh North Sumatra, which will be held this year.
This event is not only a prestigious event for athletes, but also an opportunity for Aceh to show its progress and potential to the world. The readiness of local health infrastructure will be a key factor in ensuring the success of this event.
"Therefore, I invite all Kadinkes and Hospital Directors throughout Aceh to play an active role in ensuring that our health system is ready to answer any challenges that may arise during the implementation of PON," hoped Munawar.
At the end of his speech, Munawar invited all participants to play an active role in conveying ideas, concepts and innovative solutions that we can implement to improve access and quality of health services in Aceh. Let us all maintain our enthusiasm and commitment to continue fighting for the health and welfare of the people of Aceh.
Every small step we take today will bring us closer to our vision of better health for future generations.
