Woo Pin Fish Noodle

Finally, we managed to spend some time with @michelleloh168 for her belated birthday. We went to Woo Pin for fish noodle, the type prepared with tasty milky broth containing tomatoes, pickled sour vegetables, shredded ginger, sour plums, the noodle and of course the fish. We got to choose either fried fish, or fresh fish or fish paste. If you do not fancy fish, there are pork balls and pork slices for you to choose too. As for the noodles, you may choose between thin vermicelli, thick vermicelli or the yee mee type. We added fish cake as well as fried fish skin. Believe it or not, the star of the day was the sauce - sambal belacan, our Malaysian style chilli paste which has fermented shrimp paste in it, so addictive and appetizing. They are famous for their Portugese egg tarts too. Time like this to casually catch up over a meal was always good.
