The Police Resort (Polres) of Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province, also established a service and security post unit to support the activity in front of the Simpang Arjun Traffic Post in Bireuen City. This is to carry out Operation Lilin Seulawah 2024.

Bireuen Police Chief, AKBP Jatmiko through Head of Traffic Unit Iptu Mulyadi told several media crews that the position of Bireuen Regency is in the central route of Aceh Province and the main roads used by people to tourist attractions are in Bireuen and in Takengon, Central Aceh Regency.

Of course, in the Nataru and New Year security operations, the targets of the operation include carrying out security in several locations, both traffic management and security and escorts on the highway.

With so many vehicle movements, the Bireuen Police Traffic Unit is implementing traffic control so that it is hoped that there will be no congestion or traffic jams later.

"For that, we at the Bireuen Police have set up a service and security post in front of the Traffic Post which is a combination of the TNI-Polri, Transportation Agency, Health Agency, RAPI, Scouts, and other stakeholders, in this one post," he said.

The presence of joint personnel, said the Head of Traffic Unit, if at any time unwanted things happen such as disasters, all personnel and related agencies can be immediately mobilized to handle it. So that they are ready to secure Christmas and New Year in the Bireuen Regency area.

Iptu Mulyadi also appealed to motor vehicle drivers to remain careful, always orderly and obey traffic regulations.

"Wear two helmets for drivers and passengers of two-wheeled vehicles, and wear a safety belt for car drivers, prioritize safety over speed," he said.
