Around a thousand Simeulue residents looked enthusiastic watching the preparations or rehearsal for the opening of Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an (MTQ) Aceh XXXVI, at the Sinabang Regent's Hall Square, Thursday (23/11/2023) evening.

The community immediately burst into loud applause when the theatrical dance team started their practice. As is known, this is the first time MTQ has been held in the district in the middle of the Indian Ocean.
