Synchronizing Curriculum, Hospitality Department of SMKN 1 Jeunieb Holds a Meeting with Hermes Palace Hotel Banda Aceh.

The Hospitality Department of State Vocational High School (SMKN) 1 Jeunieb, Jeunieb District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province, Monday, 3/6/2024, held a meeting with the management of Hermes Palace Hotel Banda Aceh in the Seulanga Meeting Room of SMKN 1 Jeunieb, Bireuen.

The meeting essentially synchronized the curriculum of SMKN 1 Jeunieb with the Hermes Palace Hotel Banda Aceh.

Principal of SMKN 1 Jeunieb Bireuen, Feri Irawan, SSi, MPd said, SMKN 1 Jeunieb as a vocational high school is required to produce graduates as expected by the industrial world.

Therefore, SMKN 1 Jeunieb as an educational institution helps prepare students to be ready for work, either by opening their own jobs or filling job vacancies in relevant industries.

In order to meet the need to align the curriculum with the world of industry and the world of work (Iduka), the hospitality skills competency of SMKN 1 Jeunieb synchronizes the curriculum, links and matches with the Hermes Palace Hotel Banda Aceh at SMKN 1 Jeunieb.

The meeting was attended by the General Manager (GM) of Hermes Palace Hotel Banda Aceh, Budi Syaiful, Kabdin Region IV Bireuen, Abdul Hamid, SPd, MPd, Head of SMKN 1 Jeunieb, Feri Irawan, SSi, MPd, Head of Hospitality Skills Program, Maryani, SST, ParGr , department heads, as well as teacher representatives and students of SMKN 1 Jeunieb.

Feri Irawan said that his party continues to strive to improve links and super matches with the world of work.

GM Hermes Palace Hotel, Budi Syaiful, said that he really supports government programs, including absorbing Vocational High School (SMK) graduate students into the business or industrial world.

Hermes Palace Hotel is also making breakthroughs in marrying vocational education and the business world of industry through vocational school teacher upskilling and reskilling programs.

"One of the goals is to design the new vocational school curriculum to be more in line with industry needs," he said.
