Bireuen Police Traffic Unit Promotes Traffic Order in Schools.
The Traffic Unit from the Bireuen Police South Kalimantan Unit carried out the "POLICE SAWEU SIKULA" activity at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTSN) 5 Bireuen, in an effort to increase awareness of orderly traffic among students, Monday (27/5/2024).
This activity was led by the Head of the Bireuen Police Traffic Unit, Aipda Hidayat Varulian, together with three members of the Bireuen Police Traffic Traffic Unit.
Bireuen Police Traffic Unit personnel were ceremonial inspectors in this activity, which aimed to provide education about the importance of orderly traffic to students.
In his speech, Aipda Hidayat Varulian said that this activity aims to increase students' understanding of the dangers of riding motorbikes on the road, as well as to provide an appeal to teachers to prohibit students from using motorbikes when going to school.
The activity started at 07.30 WIB and lasted until finished. Apart from remarks from Aipda Hidayat Varulian, this activity also involved delivering material about traffic safety as well as demonstrations on the use of helmets and the use of other safety equipment to students.
The students seemed enthusiastic about taking part in this activity, with many questions asked of the police officers. As part of the activity, brochures about traffic safety were also distributed to students.
It is hoped that this outreach activity can have a positive impact in reducing the number of traffic accidents in the Bireuen area, as well as helping create a younger generation who is more aware of traffic rules and safety.
