Locked Folder

New Locked Folder feature has been added to Google Photos. Here you can secure all types of photos and videos via a passcode.

No photos or videos in the Locked Folder can be seen while scrolling through Google Photos.

At first, only the Locked Folder feature will be available on Google Pixel devices. The company has said that this feature will be rolled out to other Android devices later.

There is also the facility to keep pictures or videos in Locked Folder directly from the camera for Pixel customers only.

Memories

This memory is one of the most important features of Google Photos. Google Photos will show theme based memory from now on along with showing old photos.

Google Photos will create memory using more than three images of the same color or shape. Google Photos will also display a separate memory in front of you with photos taken on New Year and Diwali occasions.

Google is going to give more control to the customer in this memory section. From now on, if you don't want to see the memory of a person or event, you can choose it.

Not only that. If you want to delete a specific image from a memory, Google Photos will also give it a chance.

Cinematic Photos

Tech giant has added cinematic photo options to Google Photos. According to the company, a 3D version of your photo will be created using machine learning. Now in the new update it can be turned into a video.

Google says the feature will work on camera images or scanned older images.

The company further said that it takes developers hours and hours to do this kind of work. But through machine learning that work is going to be possible at the moment.
