I'm so happy that I'm going to participate in this contest and that I can share some beautiful pictures of my city. So, let's begin.

A Short Introduction to My Hometown and Its people

My city's name is Odagaon and it is also my hometown where I live. It is literally a little heaven where all types of people live together happily and they are so friendly and always give respect to each other.

There are so many tourist points available in my hometown, but today I will introduce five major tourist points of my town. Such as :- Sri Raghunath Jew Temple, The Budhabudhiani Water Dam, The Simili Waterfall, Sri Rama Sagara Park and a place where tourists can take some rest and eat some food - The City Accommodation Centre.

The Raghunath Jew Temple

It is one of the popular and oldest temple in our region where the lord Ram, with Brother Lakshman and Maa Sita, are worshipped together by the devotees. Every year, especially in the winter season, a lot of devotees and travellers from distant places as well as from other countries too come here to see this beautiful temple.

We also celebrate the Rama Navami every year in summer, which is also a popular festival in our region and a lot of people come to enjoy the festival and to see the different avtars of Lord Ram during the festival period.

Some Intresting Facts About The Temple

This temple is made to remember the time when lord Ram came here to stay for sometime during his 14 years of exile.

• There are three vases fitted in the top dome of the temple which are made of pure 24 carat gold.

• The sweet dish "Rabdi* is a major offering given to the lord here.

The Budhabudhiani Water Dam

This dam is constructed by the people to protect people from floods and to use its water for irrigation in the summer time, but the main thing which makes it a tourist point is it's location. Its clear water and the lush green mountains around it make this place more attractive.

The Simili Waterfall

It is just like a hidden gem as it was just recently discovered by some people. Before them only local people living near it in the forest knew about it. This is also a very beautiful waterfall located in the forest. When we go to it, we enjoy this place so much and also sometimes we have the chance to see the wild animals there, like monkeys, peacocks or deer.

The Rama Sagar Park

The Rama Sagara Park was inaugurated by a local welfare group in the year 2020 for the public. The park includes a small area for children to play, a small lake for boating, a section for a light show and several sitting areas. In the morning and evening, they come here to jog and on Sunday a lot of people come here with their families to spend some quality time and to watch the evening light show organised by the park administration here.

The City Accommodation Centre

This is a small cafeteria and accommodation centre built for the locals and specially for tourists to take a break from their long journey.

This place includes a cafeteria, a parking centre, a beautiful garden and a small park for children.
