Picture 01 : The Teen Netar Mazar

Location

The Teen Netar Mazar, located near Doel Chattar in the capital Dhaka, is one of the landmarks of Bangladesh's architecture. The tombs of three national leaders of Bangladesh, Hussain Shaheed Suhrawardy, Khwaja Nazimuddin, and AK Fazlul Huq, were designed in 1973 by architects Masud Ahmed and SA Zahiruddin. The High Court and the Children's Academy are located near the shrines of the three leaders.

Picture 02 : The Northbrook Hall

Location

The Northbrook Hall was built in the Farashganj neighborhood on the banks of the river Buriganga, in 184, to celebrate the visit of Governor-General of India George Barring Northbrook to Dhaka in 184, a beautiful combination of Mughal architecture and European craftsmanship. Northbrook Hall was originally established as a town hall but was later changed into a public library with a clubhouse called Johnson Hall. Due to the red color of the structure, Northbrook Hall has become known to the locals as Lalkuthi since its construction. On 8 February 1926, the Dhaka Municipality hosted the famous poet Rabindranath Tagore at Northbrook Hall.

Picture 03: Gurudwara Nanak Shahi

Location

Gurudwara Nanak Shahi is a Sikh shrine located near the Kala Bhavan on the Dhaka University campus. Tradition has it that Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism in the sixteenth century, stayed for some time in the place of this largest Gurudwara in Bangladesh. He then provided instructions on monotheism and brotherhood and numerous ceremonies of Sikhism. Although there was disagreement over the date of construction of Gurudwara Nanakshahi, the construction of Gurudwara was completed in 1830 AD.

Picture 04: BAITUL MUKARRAM MOSQUE

Location

The Baitul Mukarram National Mosque is located in the Paltan area, very close to Gulistan, the heart of Dhaka. Latif Bawani, the then owner of Bawani Jute Mills, and his nephew Yahya Bawani took the initiative to build Baitul Mukarram, the National Mosque of Bangladesh on January 26, 1970. The Baitul Mukarram Mosque, designed by AH Tharani, a prominent Indus architect, was allotted 7.30 acres of land in Paltan. The construction of the mosque was completed in 1982.

Picture 05: THE SEVEN-DOMED MOSQUE

Location

Sat Gambuj Mosque, located in Mohammadpur, Dhaka, is a historical archeological site built during the Mughal rule. The mosque is known as the Seven Domes Mosque because of the mosque's seven domes on the roof, with three domes on each side and four minarets at each corner. The seven-domed mosque was built in 160 by Umid Khan, son of Mughal subedar Shaista Khan.

Picture 06: CHANDRIMA UDYAN

Location

Chandrima Uddan is located next to Crescent Lake, adjacent to Sangsad Bhaban, the heart of Dhaka city. There are different opinions about the naming of Chandrima Udyan. Some folks believe there was once a house here with a Chandrima as the owner. According to some sources, former President HM Ershad named the crescent-shaped Crescent Lake as Chandrima Udyan.

Picture 08: SUHRAWARDY UDYAN

Location

Suhrawardy Udyan, located in Shahbag, Dhaka, is one of the historical places of Bangladesh. Suhrawardy Udyan, formerly known as Ramna Racecourse Maidan, is a silent witness to various important events. At one-time horse races were organized here but now Suhrawardy Udyan is universally recognized as a cool shady place with various green trees.

Picture 09: HOSSEINI DALAN

Location

Hossaini Dalan or Imambara is a shrine of the Shia community built-in memory of Imam Hussein who was martyred in the desert of Karbala. Located on Nazimuddin Road in Old Dhaka, this installation is about 300 years old. It is believed that the Hosseini Dalan Bhaban was built in the 16th century during the reign of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan.

Picture 10: BURIGANGA ECO PARK

Location

The Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) built the Buriganga Eco-Park in October 2012 on a 2.3-acre site on the banks of the river Buriganga at Shampur in the capital Dhaka. Buriganga Eco Park in Dhaka, Bangladesh's capital, is an excellent spot for families to spend time in nature. Buriganga Eco Park is also known as 'Shampur Eco Park' and 'BIWTA Eco Park,' among other names.
