FORGIVENESS;Decide, Act and Release

To me Forgiveness is an act of releasing the grip of the past, and as the saying goes, "To err is human, and to forgive is divine." We often find ourselves hurt by others' actions, which can fester within us, leading to depression, sadness, and even hatred. However, forgiving those who have wronged us can be a remedy for these parasitic thoughts that burden our minds and emotions.

IN YOUR CHILDHOOD, DO YOU REMEMBER THAT YOUR PARENTS FORGAVE YOU FOR SOME MISCHIEF? TELL US.

I have clear memories of my childhood, a time when I committed various misdeeds that warranted discipline. Some of these transgressions were forgiven, leaving an unremovable mark on me. It's said that discipline and correction are essential signs of love, indicating that someone cares enough to guide you onto the right path.

One incident during a lengthy vacation stands out. I was spending time with friends and, being ambidextrous, I devised a game. We had to aim at an object a few meters away, but there was a catch - we had to use our left hand. One of my friends selected a goat as his target, aiming for its belly. Unfortunately, he missed. When it was my turn, I chose a hen, specifically the one that had stolen my bread a few weeks prior. With determination, I aimed for the hen's belly, but my stone struck her head instead. The hen fought for survival in vain, kicking up dust in her desperate struggle. Her chicks scattered, bewildered by the sudden turn of events. Although the stone wasn't particularly large, it proved fatal for the mother hen. Overwhelmed with guilt, I knew I was in deep trouble if my parents discovered what I'd done. Luckily, it was my uncle's hen, which spared me from having to compensate someone else. From that day forward, I steered clear of hens with chicks, having learned a valuable lesson.

DO YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF A SPITEFUL PERSON?

I've never been one to hold grudges. It's not in my nature, and I've realized how detrimental it can be to one's health and well-being. Instead of harboring resentments, I prefer to address issues directly with the person who has wronged me or whom I have wronged. Taking a lighter approach and offering a sincere apology can often mend relationships more effectively.

TELL A BRIEF STORY OR ANECDOTE, WHERE IT WAS YOUR TURN TO ASK FOR FORGIVENESS OR THE OPPOSITE, THEY ASKED FOR YOUR FORGIVENESS.

On several occasions, I found myself in a situation where a friend accused me falsely. Within their social group, discussions ceased whenever I approached, and I overheard them blaming me for taking their pocket money. It was meaningless since I had never engaged in such behavior. To set things right, I decided to confide in their mother, who revealed that she had used their pocket money to buy them Christmas clothes. Once they discovered the truth, they were deeply embarrassed and approached me for forgiveness. They sought reconciliation, explaining that it was not intentional, and I readily forgave them. Our friendship not only resumed but has endured to this day.

In conclusion, life's duration is short, and harboring grudges consumes precious time and energy. Often, the person who wronged us may not even be aware of their actions. It's liberating to communicate openly about mistakes and seek forgiveness, freeing ourselves from the burden of unforgiveness. Remember, to forgive is a gift we give ourselves, allowing us to find peace and move forward in life.

Resentment is a choice, and we can choose to let go of hurt, wrong, resentment and and anger and lighten our hearts and be free. Moreover we will make our heavenly father's heart glad when we freely forgive, he will forgive our sins too. Success!

Saludos amigo.

Bendiciones
