The TASTE of 😋 your TRIP - Trip to Sabang Island with College Friends.
Basically I am a student who has migrated to the provincial capital of Aceh, namely Banda Aceh, I have friends from various places so that I get to know many foreign cultures. After our graduation in 2018, we rarely travel together because of our busy schedules. After planning a vacation from last year, last March we were finally able to take this vacation trip. I feel very happy because we were able to get back together after being busy with our individual activities for a long time.
We did our trip in the middle of March 2021, we decided to do it in the middle of March because if we went at the end of the year we would not feel comfortable because the place we are going to is one of the world's tourist destinations in our area. However, during this pandemic, foreign tourists have not been allowed to take holiday trips to the island of Sabang, which are currently only permitted for local tourists. I really hope this pandemic ends and the wistas in our area can be reopened to foreign tourists.
The place for our trip this time is Pulau Weh (Sabang). To get to this island, we can use two alternatives, namely a fast ferry with an estimated 45 minutes or a slow boat with an estimate of 2 hours 30 minutes.
After from there, we can rent a vehicle if we don't want to take a private vehicle on a boat to cross to Sabang Island. After arriving there we can immediately look for a resort or bungalow to stay overnight, there are various places and prices for this inn.
Because we wanted to spend more time together, we took lodging at Iboih beach (Sabang) which is a favorite destination for tourists when visiting Sabang Island. At night we ate around the inn because we were too tired to travel by boat, at that time the waves were also quite large so we felt quite dizzy. Indeed, this is natural considering we went on vacation to Sabang Island with the weather conditions in Aceh (Indonesia) which were in a rainy and windy season, but we don't need to worry because the port will not give permission to leave if the weather is not supportive for our safety.
Continuing the story, the next day we visited a small island called Rubiah Island. There is the best snorkeling spot in our area. Many provide rental services for snorkeling fins and buoys for those of you who cannot swim properly and special snorkeling glasses, there are also guide services and GoPro cameras so that we get the best photos when we snorkel.
After a day there and we have to go home tomorrow, in the evening we decided to look for grilled fish, we stopped at a restaurant that is arguably very famous on the island of Sabang, the restaurant is called Paradiso, the name Paradise itself is identical to the beach where the restaurant is located.
After having spent time together with such an incredibly delicious meal, we returned to the inn delighted. Like our first night on Sabang Island, we spent time chatting until we all felt sleepy and wanted to rest.
The next day we hurried home and before that we had time to stop by the 0 kilometers monument of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia. On the way to the pier, we also stopped by the I Love Sabang monument and took some photos there. After that we rushed to the pier to go home and start tomorrow with a very fresh mind after the holidays.
