The TASTE of 😋 your TRIP (4nd Week) : Trip to Peucari Waterfall (Jantho, Aceh, Indonesia)
This time I will share a little of my journey, this is the story of a journey that occurred at the end of 2014, where at that time I was still an early semester student and was still crazy about traveling because I was not too burdened with heavy campus assignments.
On that day we discussed and decided to take a trip to the Peucari waterfall (Jantho, Aceh, Indonesia). In 2014 it was still very rare for people to visit this waterfall because it was indeed difficult road access and needed a guide who was a resident there to show the direction to the waterfall.
We were lucky to be there because we had college friends who were native to the Jantho area. He took care of all the permits so that we could go to the waterfall and bring our female friends too, of course. We have to bear all kinds of risks if we really want to go there, from having to see how the weather is to the risk of wild animals that might suddenly pass.
It is necessary to know that this includes unspoiled forests and is rarely in the era of humans, so it's no wonder that there are still many clay animals roaming. Not to mention the risk that if the weather rains and the river water rises, then we must be able to take the risk of staying in the forest until the water recedes.
That day arrived, we departed from the city of Banda Aceh to the city of Jantho in 1 hour 20 minutes and arrived at the last village, we met the tour guide and heard the directions from this guide so that nothing dangerous happened on the way or home.
After that we continued our journey through the forest and paths which were rocky but could still be passed by motorbikes, of course. After arriving there, we parked the motorbike under the watchtower used by the forest rangers to keep the clay loggers from cutting down the trees there because it would damage the existing ecosystem.
After parking the motorbike, we got to the top of the tower to just take some pictures because the view was really beautiful. As far as the eye can see, there is only a thick debt and very green with very fresh air, I think, after taking a picture we went straight down to start the journey to this Peucari waterfall.
The journey to get to the Peucari waterfall itself takes about 2 hours or less by passing through dense forest, sometimes it is also not uncommon for a large tree to fall to get in the way of our journey and it becomes a challenge in itself. Apart from the forest, we also have to walk on the river flow because there is no road access for us to pass through, therefore at the beginning I explained why we have many things to consider including sunny weather and no rain, because if it rains then we will not can go home and will be trapped in the Peucari waterfall all night.
After walking past the obstacles, we arrived at the first waterfall which was the opening waterfall before arriving at the Peucari waterfall, here we chose to eat first because we were tired because if we had climbed up to the main place of the Peucari waterfall it would be very difficult to find. place to eat.
After eating, we climbed the cliff through the side of this first waterfall, it took us about a minute to reach the main Peucari waterfall. The distance is not far, but the road is steep and slippery which makes us very careful not to fall slipping towards the cliff.
After going through all the obstacles, we finally got to where we were going. We are very amazed by the beauty of this Peucari waterfall because this is our first time there, this waterfall has several levels and at all levels it is very good to be a photo spot and to calm the mind.
Without thinking, we immediately rushed to take pictures and play in the waterfall until we didn't realize that it was getting late. After the guide reminded us that we had to go back immediately so that we didn't spend a night in debt, we immediately rushed over and headed back. Luckily we arrived at the motorbike parking lot before sunset and we immediately rushed back to the city of Banda Aceh again.
We believe that something beautiful takes a struggle to get it, and we have proven that today we are tired of being paid for with extraordinary views. I really thank Mrs. @olga.maslievich for making CONTEST !!! The TASTE of your TRIP in the SaturdayMemories community so that it allows me to reminisce about our cooking of happiness amidst the college assignments we faced in the past.
