The TASTE of 😋 your TRIP (2nd Week) - The Beauty of a Hidden River in Jantho (Aceh, Indonesia)

Hello, all steemian friends wherever you are, I hope that you are always given health and convenience in carrying out your days. It doesn't feel like it is now entering the second week of CONTEST !!! The TASTE of your TRIP held by Mrs. @olga.maslievich in the #SaturdayMemories community and I am very happy to be part of the contest in the first week, for this second week I will share a little memory about my journey to one of the natural beauties in Aceh (Indonesia).

This river is indeed the center of the water needs of the inhabitants of the city of Jantho (Aceh Besar), the abundant water sources make this place the central point of the city's residents' water needs. Besides providing abundant water, who would have thought this river also has extraordinary natural beauty with large natural rocks that are still abundant in this river. The water is clear and cold, it feels fresh if we swim in the middle of a hot afternoon, hot weather is very natural because Indonesia is a tropical country.

This trip we did with our scout members who are engaged in health, this is an annual agenda before starting the activities for the following year. The distance between the city of Banda Aceh which is our starting point to the PDAM Jantho River is around 55 kilometers with a distance of about 1 hour 30 minutes, we went by bus that had been provided with all our scout members.

Location

Long story short, we arrived there safely even though it was a little difficult because of the uphill and rocky road. However, because we have all reliable drivers and it is not a problem for him.

After we made sure all the items were unloaded, we were ready to go to the point of location where we were headed for this vacation. To get to the place we wanted, we were faced with quite extreme obstacles, we climbed a water pipe that was mossy and very slippery. Below is a ravine which is a dry river bank with large rocks, if we are not careful we could fall and lose our lives because the depth of the ravine can be up to 10 meters more. Fortunately, the PDAM officer has installed handrails on both sides of this water pipe to make it easier for people to walk on it.

We also walked alternately and were very careful, even the beautiful scenery made us unable to stop ourselves from taking some pictures even though we were actually very scared because if we fell we would definitely die.

After arriving at the place we were going to, several people prepared a menu of grilled chicken for our lunch, grilled chicken was perfect because we were in the middle of a very dense forest, the cool atmosphere made us impatient to eat and go swimming.

Unfortunately I didn't have time to take good pictures of myself because I was always an impromptu photographer for my friends and here are some of the photos I took and my friends took.

After having fun until the afternoon we rushed home because it was getting dark, when it was dark it would be very difficult to get through the slippery pipe that I told you earlier. Therefore we immediately end our vacation. A little warning, this place is not a tourist place that can be visited carelessly, we need several visiting permits to be here because this is a protected area because it is a source of clean water for city residents.

Thanks to Mrs. @olga.maslievich for holding “CONTEST !!! The TASTE of your TRIP” in the #SaturdayMemories community that can make many people share about their journey, hopefully more people will join this contest and I invite @ahyar92 @edwardyakuza @farady08 and of course congratulations to @rezamusic22 for sharing their journey first this week.
