Hi All,
I am lucky that I was born in Keshabpur village in Jessore. From now it takes only half an hour to go to Sagardari by book van. These engine driven vans are now known as "Nasimun". I have traveled to Sagardani many times in my life. But the last trip in 2022 with my family was the most important trip of my life. I couldn't resist the urge to share this experience.

About Micheal Madhusudhan Dutta:
Michael Madhusudan Dutt, a prominent 19th-century Bengali poet and playwright, holds great significance in Bengali literature and culture for his innovative contributions. Born in 1824 in Sagordari, a village in the British-controlled region of Bengal, Dutt revolutionized Bengali literature by challenging traditional themes and styles. His affinity for European literature led him to introduce the sonnet form to Bengali poetry and pioneer the fictional character Meghnad Badh Kavya from the Ramayana epic. Through his diverse body of work, including plays such as 'Sharmistha' and 'Krishna Kumari,' Michael Madhusudan Dutt left an indelible mark on Bengali art, forever altering its literary landscape

Started the Journey:
The journey to Sagordari began with an early morning departure from keshabpur. As this is very near of my native our mode of transportation for this trip was primarily by Nasimun with the occasional stops at local attractions and scenic viewpoints along the route.

The journey itself lasted approximately 40 minutes. We were fortunate enough to travel on a bright and sunny day, which provided us stunning views of the surrounding village side as we progressed towards our destination.
Upon reaching Sagordari within a short time, feelings of awe and excitement as we saw the beautiful landscape before us – a fitting reward for a memorable journey spent with good company.

Step in Sagordari:
As I stepped onto the site, my senses were immediately flooded with a myriad of stimuli. The sweet scent of blossoming flowers filled the air as it intertwined with the earthy aroma of damp soil, hinting at a passing rain hour earlier. My eyes were drawn to the vibrant shades of green that formed a lush canopy overhead, creating a serene and calming atmosphere. In contrast, bursts of vivid colors from blooming plants competed for attention, creating a visually stunning landscape.

The sound of birdsong floated through the rustling leaves, providing nature's own soundtrack to this tranquil escape. Beneath my feet, the ground felt cool and slightly damp, offering an invigorating respite from the day’s heat. Every step on the gravel pathway provided a satisfying crunch and brought me further into this haven.

Unique aspects of this magnificent residence include Dutt's study, where he penned countless literary masterpieces. The room is filled with soft natural light that floods through the east-facing window, creating an ideal atmosphere for creativity. A spacious desk stands against an exposed brick wall, bearing witness to years of diligent work.

Additionally, bursts of color from the lush garden can be glimpsed from every window – a testament to the balance Dutt sought between the constructed world and nature's resplendence. One can almost envision Dutt strolling through the meticulously landscaped garden paths in search of inspiration or clarity.

Boat trip in Kapotaksha River:
A boat ride on the Kapotaksha Waterway in Sagordari is a lovely encounter, offering voyagers a chance to take in the stunning regular excellence of this riverine scene. As you float along the delicate waves, you are shipped to a quiet world away from the hurrying around of metropolitan life. The excursion starts at Saheb Bari Ghat, where you can lease a customary wooden boat to cross the waters of the Kapotaksha stream. As you set out on your adventure, your faculties are wrapped in the sights, sounds, and scents of nature. The far-off call of different birds fits with the stir of leaves and delicate lapping of water against the boat's frame. Heading further downstream, the waterway turns out to be progressively quiet and pleasant. On one or the other side, you will have an unhampered perspective on rich green paddy fields, influencing coconut trees, and interesting towns. The verdant environmental elements make a scene suggestive of an impressionist composition. As you clear your path through this untainted domain, you may be sufficiently lucky to detect some natural life. Otters energetically dashing through the water or bog deer brushing on riverbanks are not an exceptional sight. Keep your eyes open for different types of nearby birds, for example, kingfishers and herons exhibiting their fishing abilities. Breathing in profoundly as the sun dunks low overhead projects a golden tint across the scene, making really extraordinary recollections. You will get back to Saheb Bari Ghat with a sensation of restoration and appreciation for nature's serene hug.
