The Diary Game||30.07.2024|| Night Outing and Traditional Food Experience in Old Dhaka City.

I couldn't imagine that tonight would not be a special one for me to witness. I always like to travel a lot. And if it happens at night, then there is nothing to say. Traveling at night is a new experience for me. If it is near my city. I along with five members of my family decided that we will go to the old town at night. Another name of which is Old Dhaka is known. Where their night starts from 12 midnight. And the food in Old Town is very delicious. The food of the Mughal period here is still at the top of the demand of people.

We left for the Old Town around 11.30pm. Then I reached in just one hour. On this one-hour journey, I was very afraid to see the night city of Dhaka. Then when I got into the old town, I saw a town with all the lights. We entered a restaurant first. Which is a very popular restaurant in the old town. I have heard that the food here is very delicious. Nowadays Chicken and Luchi is a food item in high demand. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we saw kebabs being prepared outside.

After that we ordered food. Chicken mixed with french fries and luchi. Then in a while the food came. If you want, you can eat it with bread instead of luchi. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. However, I could not finish the whole meal as the quantity of food was very large. It was almost one o'clock in the night. I had drinks along with food.

Anyway, I picked up a parcel for my mother. He likes the food of Old Town very much. After we finished eating, we asked the waiter to pay the bill. The waiter handed over the bill to us. The total food bill came to 1575/- in Bangladeshi Taka. Converting that will be 64.47 steem.

After leaving the restaurant, I saw that most of the shops were closed, only the restaurants were open. Because people come here from many areas of Dhaka city to eat the traditional food of Mughals. As we got here. Then a fruit juice shop was found walking some distance from the restaurant. Where different types of seasonal fruit juices are directly made and served to the customers.

We went there and wanted to eat. Lachie means a cold drink made with sweet yogurt. It tastes great to drink. In this summer, we are getting cold and ordered. There was no place to sit down here. Everyone was eating with their hands. Because they were all shops on the road.

After we eat lachi, we see that there is a drink shop next to it. In Bangladesh, people drink at night after eating. Pan is a leaf which is eaten with betel nut, lime and various betel spices. It increases the taste in people's mouth after consuming it and helps in reducing high blood pressure. However, excessive consumption can cause physical damage. I saw different types of betel available in the betel shop. Each one has a different test. I don't like eating betel leaves. Two members of my family have been drinking.

After eating betel leaf, we wandered around there for a while. It was almost 2 o'clock in the night. But the atmosphere around the Old Town seems to be only evening.

Everyone around is very busy. Someone is chatting with friends, someone is going to eat at a restaurant. And all the restaurants have more people movement. We took a selfie in between.

Then we decided to take a rickshaw to go home. Then I visited all the alleys of the old town to make the rickshaw a success. It was almost 2.30 in the night but it still seems like how crowded the streets are.

The characteristics of the old town of Dhaka city are different. People here sleep during the day and wake up during the night. So people like us who are common public come here at night to eat and hang out. I have said before that the food here is very traditional in Bangladesh. For which this Old Town of Dhaka is the center of attraction for people. We went home to enjoy the cool atmosphere of Dhaka city at night. Tonight's outing and dining experience will be memorable for me.
