The Diary Game (10-10-2024) || Moments of Traveling from Dhaka to my Hometown Tangail.
Hello Everyone. I am @shiftitamanna
From #Bangladesh
Assalamu Alaikum to all my steemian friends. Today I am here with a travel blog of mine. The travel is mainly about traveling from my city Dhaka to my hometown Tangail. I am here to share with you all the moments of my journey. So let's enjoy this journey of mine and stay with me until the end.
Although I live in Dhaka due to my job in the capital, my main hometown is in Tangail, another district of Bangladesh. The distance from Dhaka to Tangail is about 84 kilometers. After that my hometown in Bhuapur Upazila, 31 km from Tangail. Anyway this morning I left at 6.30am for a long journey.
I left early in the morning because now the puja holidays have started in Bangladesh so all institutions including government offices have been declared as holidays. So, on the occasion of this long holiday, all the working people have gone to their hometowns for their holidays. Due to this, a lot of traffic may be created on the road. So I also left in the morning without delay. Anyway, there was some traffic at the Dhaka City end but after that I didn't see any kind of traffic.
Today's weather was also very good. In fact, autumn is going on in Bangladesh now. At this time the weather is a mix of hot and cold. Because the weather in Bangladesh is usually like this before winter. Anyway, you can see the sweet morning sun as the day progresses from the early morning. I have always loved traveling a lot. And if it is a long journey then there is no more talk. I was sitting in the car and was enjoying the scenery outside.
After a long drive, my driver said that the car needs octane oil. I asked him to stop at a petrol pump in the middle of the road. We are now on the Dhaka-Tangail highway where there are petrol pumps every once in a while. But the problem is that there is a lot of vehicle pressure per pump. Where a lot of time is likely to be spent. Then after a little further I saw an empty petrol pump where I asked the driver to stop the vehicle. Then I bought octane for my car.
After finishing work at the petrol pump, I left again for Tangail. We have only 6 km left to reach Tangail. After that I will reach Tangail district city of Bangladesh. From there I have to go further. Tangail district has many upazilas, one of which is Bhuapur. And after reaching Tangail I will again go from there to my hometown Bhuapur in the same car. However, the southern part of Bangladesh can be traveled through this highway.
Then after coming to Elenga I ask the driver to park the car in front of a sweet shop. Because I will buy some sweets for the house. After reaching the Elenga bus stand, I got down in front of a sweet shop. Tangail's famous sweet Chamcham was being sold there. It is a famous sweet not only in Tangail but in the whole of Bangladesh.
I bought 3 kg of sweet sweets from that sweet shop. 280/- per kg making a total of 840/- Bangladeshi Taka and steam price 42. There are different types of sweets. But in addition to red chamcham, they also make white color chamcham. But now on the occasion of Puja, the price of milk is high in the market and the price of sweets is comparatively high.
After purchasing the sweets I set off again. It's not too late to get home. It may take only 45 minutes. I was there to enjoy the surrounding countryside. But there is something special to enjoy in autumn. That is Kashful. At this time, flowers are blooming along the river.
These flowers are very different from the normal flowers. They are oblong in shape. I am sure that the Yamuna river near our house is blooming in abundance. In our country, this flower can be seen in abundance in autumn. I was sitting in the car and enjoying the natural scenes of Bangladesh.
The more we enter the village, the more the greenery is increasing. We have already reached Bhuapur upazila. My village is now only 8 kms inside. It will only take 20 minutes to reach my village. I was giving the direction to the driver. To say that I have come very quickly. In just 3.30 hours I reached my hometown.
After reaching in front of the house, I saw my father waiting for me on the main road. And along with him came a cousin of mine who was helping me to unload all my bags from the car. Then with all the bags I entered my village house. Everyone at home was waiting for me. After many days I came back to my home town.
After coming home, I exchanged greetings with everyone. They went home before me. came today because the office is off on 9/10/2024. I will be on leave for a few days so I thought I would come back to my hometown to spend this time with my family.
Hope you have a good few days. Because taking a break from the busy time of the city and spending some time with the natural environment means getting peace of mind.
