Traveling is always a pleasure. Through traveling, the physical fatigue of the mind is removed. It creates cheerfulness in the mind. But the childhood trip that I am going to talk about turned my life around. The turning point of my life is this childhood trip.
My journey was from a village in Chandpur district to my elder brother's house on Elephant Road in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
I am a village boy. I spent my childhood in a rural environment. In January-February 1983, I suddenly traveled to Dhaka with my uncle. I was 7-8 years old at that time. My uncle would go to my elder brother's house, but he never went to Dhaka. On the other hand, I have been to Dhaka twice before. So, I was selected as his traveling companion.
Even though I didn't know anything about Dhaka at that age, I remember that if he took me to Dhaka's New Market, I could introduce him to my elder brother's house. I started my journey to unknown Dhaka with my uncle.

My traveling companion on this journey was my uncle. My uncle also lives in the village. He has never been to Dhaka city. His only trust was me and my only trust was my uncle. My and uncle reached Chandpur launch ghat by boat from the village from there I started my journey in a launch. Our launch left at 12.15 a.m. I still didn't know that this trip to Dhaka was like leaving my village altogether.
I sat on the seat on the ground floor of the launch. I couldn't sleep at night because of the loud noise of the launch and the unfamiliar environment. Meanwhile, the unknown fear of childhood. I was surrounded. I spent the whole night sitting.
👉Anecdotally unique facts you would love to outstanding. |

My journey was completed in two parts. The first part was a launch from Chandpur to Dhaka's Sadar ghat. In this part, I did not see much. Because it was nighttime, and the launch was not large and modern. I remember nothing but the darkness of the river.
My second stage was to reach New Market in Dhaka from Sadar ghat. It was a wonderful stage. I was very young then, and I came from a village. The big buildings, different vehicles, and different people of Dhaka city attracted me a lot. Everywhere I looked I was amazed. I live. It seems like there is no end to this sight. It seems to me how happy the people of this city are, they do not lack anything. How comfortable they are.
👉Any other details or aspects you want to share with us in the publication. What happened in the travel? |

My trip was very ordinary. But this trip was the turning point of my life. Now I am coming to that occasion. After coming to Dhaka from Chandpur, my elder brother did not send me to Chandpur. He admitted me to school in Dhaka. My new life started from here. I finished my studies and started working. Now I am in Dhaka and still working here.
For this reason, a very ordinary childhood trip has returned to my life as extraordinary. So, I remember every date and event. From that page of memory, I have presented today's article.
I am still working in Dhaka
Upvoted. Thank You for sending some of your rewards to @null. It will make Steem stronger.
Thanks for inviting, I have also oarticipated.
It's nice to hear about the your early life in a village. Living in a simple place like that can create special memories and shape who you are. I can relate it well because I am also a villager .
In my experience, traveling at night can be both fun and hard. As you talk about the discomfort of new surroundings and noise, showing how the journey was an adventure but not an easy one. Isn't it ?
I think it's interesting how regular trips can be so important. I think your journey to Dhaka not only meant going to a new place but also became a big moment, leading to a new part of your life.
Good luck .
@drqamu sir, thank you so much for reading my post. also thanks for your beautiful comments. still, I think that it is very difficult for a 7-8-year-old boy to travel to Dhaka with such a big risk. Maybe my fate planned to make me a city dweller that's why I took this trip.
